I hear people talking about ‘toxic positivity.’

Have you heard that? It’s the pressure to always stay upbeat and pretend that everything’s fine, even when it’s not. The Bible tells us about it. In the book of Proverbs, it says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”

So often, we hold on to our worries when we don’t have to. But it’s okay to be honest about our pain, and Jesus offers us a different way. He invites us to come with our burdens. Let Him carry the burden with you.

If you’re looking for true peace and hope, I invite you to discover who Jesus really is. He will transform your life. Pray to Him today, just like I did. Ask Jesus to take over, to forgive you, to be Lord of your life, and you will be surprised at the incredible peace you will find there.

Always remember, there is hope with God. I’m Andrew Palau.

  • Punched in the Mouth
    Jun 27 2025
My friend reminded me of something that world champion heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson once said, "Everyone's got a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”

You know, he’s right! The Bible says in the book of Proverbs, “People make their plans, but God directs their steps.”

The question is not how to avoid getting punched in the mouth by the world. It’s gonna happen! We all get knocked down by the struggles and challenges, and even the tragedies of life. The question for you is this: what resource do we have to deal with it?

God has a plan for you—a way forward. And it’s with Him. He knows that you will struggle and suffer, but He also says I am the way, the truth, and the life. Give Him your life today. Let Him carry you forward. He is strong—stronger than the challenges you're facing.

Always remember, there is hope with God. I’m Andrew Palau.

  • Are you far from God?
    Jun 26 2025
Does God feel like a distant thought?

Or do you feel like God has pulled away from you because of something you’ve done?

You might feel far from God, but He isn’t far from you.

Ephesians 2 tells us that because of the work of God’s Son, Jesus, on the cross, we are brought near.

Jesus came and preached peace to us who are far and to us who are near. That word, peace, means wholeness.

Jesus reconciles us to God to bring us near. And it doesn’t depend on us; it depends on Him, and the work is done. If you feel far from God, why don’t you just turn your heart to Him today?

Say, “Jesus, I feel far. But I know you’ve done all that is needed for me to be near. Thank you, Lord. Forgive me. In the name of Jesus, amen.”

Always remember there is hope with God.

  • Chasing Fantasy
    Jun 25 2025
How often have you heard it said, “Let your imagination run wild! Imagination?

It’s important. It’s from God. When it’s in control? That’s wonderful. But chasing fantasies?! That’s a trap and a recipe for disaster.

In Proverbs 28 it says this, “Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies will have their fill of poverty. A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one who is eager to get rich will not go unpunished.”

Pop culture today tends to claim false routes to peace: self-forgiveness, manifesting… These are cheap imitations of truth, and they will destroy you.

Come instead, to God. He paid the penalty Himself and made the full payment on your behalf. And now, right now, He offers you new life.

  • Are you dead?
    Jun 24 2025
    Are you dead?

You’re probably saying, “What’s wrong with you, Wendy? Of course not. I’m here, I’m breathing, there’s blood in my veins, my heart is beating.”

Could I ask you, though, “Are you dead spiritually?”

Every one of us has a spiritual side. Physically, yes, we’re alive, but is the spiritual side of us alive, or dead?

Ephesians 2 tells us that there are things we do that bring death to our spiritual lives. Things that destroy us and the people around us.

But there is another way. Jesus, because of His great love, offers us life. Because of His mercy, He says, I took death so that you can experience spiritual life- life that is truly life.

Are you dead spiritually? You can have life!

Always remember there is hope with God.

  • Into the Light
    Jun 23 2025
“Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.”

These words of wisdom are from the Bible, ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28‬, verses 13‬-‭14‬. When we’ve done wrong, we have a choice to make, don’t we?

I just want to challenge you:

Do not hide any longer. Only God can really deal with your past, and set you free, and help you to move forward. God is merciful. You expect a hammer, and He greets you with an embrace.

His mercy is for you today. Leave your sin behind forever and walk in the light of a new day, with God as your Savior and your companion for life.

Always remember, there is hope with God. I’m Andrew Palau.

"People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. Blessed are those who fear to do wrong, but the stubborn are headed for serious trouble." Proverbs 28:13-14

  • Face it!
    Jun 20 2025
Are you wasting away, discouraged by the immorality of your own life?

Your own actions? Man, I have been there myself, and I know that we may be searching for pleasure and fun; it becomes harder and harder to find it and harder to live with ourselves. I’ve felt that.

The wrongs in your life, what the Bible calls sin, will eventually destroy you. I don’t say that to judge you. I just understand. Life gets complicated. Maybe others had a hand in the destruction of your dreams and your life. But for your part, you can own up to it.

Bring it to the Lord; bring it before God— all of the wrongs that you’ve done. The sin of your life, even your failures, the things that you just regret…bring it to the One who can transform it— it’s Jesus.

Always remember, there is hope with God. I’m Andrew Palau.

  • Are you enlightened?
    Jun 19 2025
    Are you enlightened?

Enlightenment means to see, to shine on, to brighten, or illuminate.

Ephesians 1 tells us that the eyes of our hearts can be enlightened to know the hope that God has called us to!

We can be enlightened to know God, to understand that He calls us to a life of hope!

I think of my son when he was little, crying in his crib, feeling alone in the dark of his little bedroom. He would call out for us. The moment that we walked in the room and we turned on the light, he would settle into peace. And we’d say, “Here we are. Here we are.”

This is the hope that we’re called to. Do you hear God saying to you, “I’m here”? Let Him enlighten your heart today.

Always remember there is hope with God.

"I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance." Ephesians 1:18
