Pastor Mark and I continue our discussion on anger. This week we discuss anger towards others. In part 1, we determined that being angry with God is alright, because God can take our anger. However, anger towards others, even justified anger, gives the devil a foothold in our lives. We discuss that no level of anger towards our fellow man is acceptable.

Even justified anger is really an opportunity for us to falter and lose sight of our purpose. We must become unoffendable in our current world of conflict and division.

Pastor Mark and I discuss anger. We begin with the question: Is it okay to be angry with God? I try to keep the focus on anger towards God, rather than towards others, or just anger in general. We discuss God's reaction to our anger. And how God wants us to use or not use our anger.

Like many people, I used to think repentance meant sorrow and regret. I thought repentance was for confessing my evil actions and asking for forgiveness to God. Repentance is not about grief or shame. It is about transforming the way we think. Repentance is about growing in our Christ-like way of living. It is about becoming the person Jesus wants us to be.

Several common beliefs in Christianity are incorrectly perceived. Angela Jackson and I will discuss them over the next several weeks. This week, we discuss our destiny. Are we in control of our own lives and destiny? Or has God, or another higher power, predestined our lives? Or is it a combination of the two, and is one more influential than the other?

Death Doula, Suzanne O'Brien, states that after 20 years as a hospice nurse, people say their greatest regret is "I didn't live my purpose." Pastor Mark and I discuss how God will lead us to our purpose if we trust Him and live by faith.

Pastor Mark and I discussed repentance. We addressed the misconception that repentance is regret and sorrow. Repentance is a change of mind, a change that happens within us and brings us closer to who God created us to be. Repetance is constant action that we work on daily as we work on our relationship with God. It is a way of communicating with God and learning to hear God. As well as a way to discern God's will in our lives.

My dear friend Angela Jackson joined me in discussing Christianity from a non-Christian perspective. Angela grew up in a Christian household that was not kind to her. Her story happnes too often, where children of hypocritical Christian parents, drive their kids away from the faith. Angela and I discuss how American Christianity is engaging with Americans from all walks of life.

I wanted to continue my conversation with Pastor Mark on trust. In particular what it costs us to trust God. How difficult it is to trust God unconditionally. And the blessing that comes from trusting God.
