  • Ep. 181: A Libertarian, a Marxist, and a Neo-Liberal Walk into a Podcast (Ft. Conor Farrell & Connor Moore)
    May 23 2025

You’ve come for a special one, folks. We have an old-timey reunion on our hands as three Monarch High School Debaters clash again, this time in Denver's newest thunderdome for intellectual warfare — Top Shelf Studios.

    (announcer voice)

In the Red Conor.. He was displaced by the Marshall Fire & after six months living in a hotel room with both his parents — he packed his belongings & left for the West Bank, where he spent several months teaching English — Conor Farrell!

And.. In the Blue Connor.. An extra ‘N’ in his name, a newly-minted-member of liberal elite (he wishes). Let’s be honest — we’re all just hoping he can get us that plus-1 ticket onto the end-of-days megacraft when the time comes — Connor Moore!

    (end announcer voice)

These two are way over my head with their historical dialectics, their contentions of contemporary normative theory lacking in the modern political landscape, blah, blah, BLAH!!

My gosh. Jokes aside, they educate me about modern conflicts & historical pretense. I felt smarter hearing their perspectives on power & where the global political landscape may go next.

I could barely keep up on this one with these intellectuals and their extended metaphors of prisms, light, grasses, & fences — but ain’t those lines just too beautiful not to look?! And ain’t that rainbow stunning?!

Stop and smell the roses that are the minds of Conor & Connor. Cheers.

  • Ep. 179: Grapefruit Guy (Ft. Grayson Heath)
    May 14 2025

Grayson Heath is a returning guest, who told me: “Not much has changed.” Since his last appearance. Huh. Odd. I’d venture to guess that our lovely ‘assistance to the production extraordinaire,’ his wife & older sister to Chris/Klube, our beloved man behind the camera, miiiight have a thing or two to say about that (*see Polaroid of her right jab)

We talked about the financial stress of getting married & how the hell to pull off having a wedding in 2025. I get pressed by my guests about why I don’t have any “podcast stuff” on my wedding registry, and (of course) we ramble on about how all four of us have watched incompetent fraudsters rotate between positions of power for our entire lives.

Grayson provides us with some “straight ball analyzation” regarding the Denver Nuggets firing head coach Michael Malone, and we wonder why Joker doesn’t fit the NBA narrative while getting Chris up to speed on the artistic celebration antics of one Ja Morant. Him nor I will be hearing from haters at this time.

What can I say? I’m a grapefruit guy.

  • Ep. 178: Mania & Melancholy Takeover (Ft. Sean Connolly & Chris Albrecht)
    May 9 2025

John Henry Wilson is the host of ‘Mania & Melancholy’. He is a stand-up comedian from Denver. He is also a white man. Needless to say, John manifested his destiny all the way into colonizing Top Shelf Studios for his own. He has taken our producer Chris & InTALLerable’s host, Sean, as his spoils of victory. Some say the sun never sets on John’s Pod-Empire..

Follow John on Insta @John_Henry_Wilson — See his monthly stand-up show at Longtable Brewing monthly on the Last Thursday — Check out his podcast: ‘Mania & Melancholy’

We revisit dating in Denver, and hear about John’s recent coffee date where he asked a nice young lady, “Well, what do you like about running?” We debate the rising costs of dating services and wonder if paying for the apps would drive any potential partners for John away from casting all their swipe “votes” on only the top 10% of men on the apps.

The Tallest thanks to John for being himself. I think that he is hilarious & weird — which the world always needs more of floating around. Grateful he came back on our silly show (& took it as his own).

  • Ep. 177: Technical Difficulties (Ft. Grayson Garcia)
    May 5 2025

Grayson Garcia is a Denver-based stand-up comic, who is just as kind & down to Earth, as he is hilarious & thought-provoking. Think the Bay-area meets the Midwest. Learn a little about his life growing up and it all makes sense! Grayson was born in the Bay & became accustomed to lots of different cultures at a very young age, before his family moved to the central valley when he was in elementary school. So not a child of the corn, per say, but certainly an adolescent of the almond grove. Now we’re cooking with seed-milk — come on, folks!

Follow Grayson on Instagram @Grayson_Gracia & check out his upcoming stand-up dates!

We discussed our first memories, being a good host (even as a man in your 20’s), how he began performing stand-up in college, and we learned that Grayson is half-mexican, and half-forklift-operator-certified. Shouts out dad. Set your retention limits to high, open up that short-term-memory storage, and strap in for another great one with an even greater guest.

Due to our technical failures on this episode, we are releasing the FULL & UNCUT version of this episode for all to enjoy — featuring Sean & Grayson’s EATIN’ segment!

This is a taste of what our Patreon supporters access, but for the masses.

  • Ep. 176: Bowls with Wolves (Ft. Jack Comstock)
    Apr 28 2025

Our guest is Denver-based stand-up comedian, Jack Comstock. He is here to finally utilize his college degree & educate our listeners in everything and anything, general. It’s his specialty, the generality.

Follow Jack on Instagram @HackComstock & go see him perform around the country!

Jack teaches us about the challenges & triumphs of moving from Omaha to New York City to chase his dream & perform stand-up multiple times each night, instead of a few times each week. He likes the big city vibe of feeling alone mentally, but never being alone physically. We discussed the plague of large events in the city, avoiding tourists at all costs, and making a game out of crossing the street during the NYC marathon.

From hosting open mics, to staying in his fantasy baseball league just to keep up with his buddies & lose another $60 annually, to realizing their group was a “target” walking at night around the street while tripping (& talking about it) — Jack is a guest that is good ‘till the last drop. Make it deep enough in this one for Jack’s face to get red, as he breaks into a full rant about Denver drivers’ incompetence. Bad drivers are intolerable. THIS is InTALLerable.

  • Ep. 175: Share Knowledge Before Rich People Buy It All (Ft. Billy Anderson)
    Apr 18 2025

Billy Anderson is a stand-up comedian who recently joined the Denver stand-up scene, moving from LA by way of Seattle, after years of running shows & crushing crowds in their scene. He is a blue-collar liberal, has an awesome DryBar comedy special, & is the host and creator of — ‘The Gateway Show’ — where comics tell some jokes, get high, and then do more jokes while high.

Follow Billy Anderson @WhyNotBillyTho on Instagram & check out his website — BillyAnderson.com — for his upcoming dates!

We discussed Billy’s life growing up in Georgia, the stark class divide in Augusta, and how Billy went from being an honors student in 9th grade to eventually dropping out of high school. Honestly, if 9/11 destroyed my worldview & turned me into a black-pilled nihilistic teenager like it did for Billy..? I can say confidently that I would not have done even a quarter with my life, what Billy has with his.

Nu-Metal, synthetic meats, being raised catholic, how Billy became a veteran of the high-volume call center, and how he left the call-center role in the coolest way possible, after his employer forgot to lock him out of his work email — whoops! I assure you this is an episode you can dig your listening teeth into. Plenty of meat on this bone! Including some “sausage-making” comedy stories featuring names you might know, like younger Hans Kim in the Seattle scene & how Billy built a new format/competition that Hans proceeded to win (as Billy predicted).

Thankful to break bread over smoked meats & great conversation with Billy! I am even more thankful Denver has Billy as a part of our scene.

  • Ep. 174: Men Are Hollow ~Respectfully~ (Ft. Maddy Smith & Towi Kuberka)
    Apr 11 2025

Our guests are childhood friends from Buffalo, NY. Maddy Smith is a national touring stand-up comedian & recurring cast member of ‘Wild ‘N Out’ on MTV & VH1 since season 14. She is joined by Towi Kuberka, who “knew Maddy was the funniest person way back in middle-school.” Little did Towi know that she has quite the knack for this podcasting thing!

Follow Maddy Smith @somaddysmith on Instagram — Listen to her podcast: ‘Mad House’ on YouTube — Find Maddy’s upcoming tour dates on her website: https://maddysmithcomedy.com/

We talk about our concern for kids today & iPad brain, what it was like for them growing up in a simpler time of bikes & wall-ball, and we hear about Towi & Maddy’s ‘Buffalo Jackass’ video they made as kids. Maddy questions Sean about inflation & the meaning of money, while advocating for life as a Victorian child. From processed foods turning Americans into rats, to our widespread passive complicity in technology made from child-slave-materials — if we learn one thing here, it’s that men are hollow shells who fail to build community.

Hey now, we’ll take it back when men stop feigning incompetence to get out of work around the home! (**Ladies erupt in applause**)

Grateful to Maddy & Towi for coming on my silly show, eating my smoked chicken, and giving me a reason to shave off my beard for the first time in years. Loyal to the bit, what can I say?!

  • Ep. 173: 27 Club (Ft. Chesarae)
    Apr 9 2025

Our guest is a stand-up comedian who recently moved from Colorado Springs to Denver. She is hilarious with tons of stories to share, so excited to welcome to TSS — Chesarae!

You can follow Chesarae on Instagram @_blubrryragamuffin & be sure to check out her monthly showcase show at the Railyard in Colorado Springs, the first friday each month.

We had a blast on this one. From discussing the cesspool that was the Chuck E Cheese ball pit, to why McDonalds had to get rid of their ball pit after a mid-80s snake incident, to lighter topics like Chesarae’s favorite older coworkers as a CNA, and the time an old lady brought a DVD into work, so she could go home and watch her older coworker’s much younger tits make their appearance as an extra in some forgettable film. Legendary.

Covid era craziness — remember that? Vaccination stations, alerts on our phones, we look back on how easily we all seemed to accept our 1984 reality, often with open arms & accusations for any rogue sneezes or coughs encountered after a night totally not having fun (was not allowed). Makeup is just well-marketed minerals from the ground. Chesarea shares how her first time putting on makeup in middle school may have (unintentionally) led her to become a comic, after the boy she liked at the time made a comment about her eyes. Men suck. But that’s nothing new.

The Buffalo Wild Wings big-titty waitress & Chesarae’s experience at the Bernie Sanders rally in Denver; this one has something for everyone.
