In this episode, our guest is Dr. Ingmar Bruns, M.D., Ph.D., a pioneer in biotech leadership and hematologist/oncologist. Dr Bruns is the Executive VP and CMO at Trillium Therapeutics Inc., a clinical stage immuno-oncology company developing innovative therapies for the treatment of cancer. We discuss Ingmar's breadth of experience in academia, where he studied medicine at both the Medical University of Vienna, as well as the Universität zu Lübeck, He then spent many years at both the University of Düsseldorf and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
We discuss a variety of topics including Ingmar’s successes and mistakes, drug development, golden rules for biotechs, as well as fundraising in the life science industry.
