In the first episode of Intrinsik, I had the great privilege of speaking with Major—a remarkable person who is pragmatic, funny, warm, generous, and gregarious. With a big heart and a refreshingly honest perspective on life, Major has lived a life full of diverse experiences. He’s worked as a grizzly bear and whale tour guide, a motivational speaker, and a commercial dive instructor. He's owned a construction company and performed stand-up comedy and improvisational acting. Major is a filmmaking teacher, has performed boylesque, appeared on a reality show, and has worn virtually every hat in the film—from actor to producer, director, and production designer. There’s no position on or off-set that Major hasn’t had his hands in. He also spoke about overcoming multiple life-altering back surgeries, being a polyamorous pansexual, as well as discovering his Metis roots. If I were to sum up my discussion with Major into one word: generous. He always is there to help, guide, and praise with joy and laughter.
