  • 4PM: Packers' Tush Push Ban Falls Short, Health & Safety vs Business Decisions, & Matt's Retention for Hate!
    May 21 2025
Jim Rutledge, Matt Hamilton & Molly Brown broadcast live from the CycleNation Fundraiser at the Sylvee in Madison! They open the show reacting to the Brewers' loss in extra innings as they came up short of sweeping the lowly Orioles this afternoon, including if Matt has extended his "my guy" jinx to baseball with Christian Yelich and "Timmy" Alexander... They get into the football meathead conversation of the day, as the Packers' proposal to ban the tush push came two votes shy of passing, 22-10, at the NFL Owners meetings today! Jim asks today's Siding Unlimited poll question: Was the Packers’ push to eliminate the Tush Push motivated by it being Unsafe or Unsightly? They get deeper into if there's real proof of the play being unsafe with Dr. Nestor Rodriguez from Carbon World Health, who joins live at CycleNation. He discusses if he sees real merit to the Packers' argument of health and safety versus business interests, and he talks about the possible injury concerns for NFL players participating in Olympic flag football (which did pass at the owners meetings). Molly also asks is she's crazy about her fear of tearing her Achilles! During Minute to Win It, Jim and producer Primetime tests Matt & Molly (but mostly Matt) on their retention for hate, asking them to remember the list of the 10 NFL teams that voted against the Packers' proposal to ban the tush push!

  • 5PM: Brett Favre Untold & Aaron Rodgers Enigma: Comparing Documentaries
    May 21 2025
Jim Rutledge, Matt Hamilton & Molly Brown continue discussing the Packers' proposal to ban the tush push getting show down at the voting table during today's NFL Owners meeting. After Matt & Molly failed to remember the 10 teams who voted against banning the play during Minute to Win It, they dive deeper into the motivations at the team and owners level for keeping the tush push, including the NFL's trend to make things harder on defenses whenever available. They move into the other big Packers headline of the day with the new Brett Favre documentary on Netflix that dropped last night. Jim gives his assessment after watching the doc and they discuss the cult of personality phenomenon that's allowed Favre and other famous celebs to have such a lack of accountability. They also discuss if Favre would've gotten away with his actions in a media market other Green Bay... During Throwing Stones, they compare their thoughts on the Favre "Untold" doc to Aaron Rodgers' "Enigma" docu-series that we've finally gotten around to watching. The assessment: Aaron Rodgers is still unbearable. They wrap the show looking at some final comments on the ESPN Madison YouTube channel and the Carbliss Talk/Text line and the final results of today's Siding Unlimited poll question: Was the Packers’ push to eliminate the Tush Push motivated by it being Unsafe or Unsightly?

  • Jason Wilde on JM&M
    May 20 2025
Jason Wilde joins Jim, Matt & Molly to discuss the question marks with the Packers' offensive line, the vote on the Packers Tush Push proposal, NFL players being allowed to participate in 2028 Olympic flag football, & the greatest sitcoms in TV history! With legendary Cheers actor George Wendt passing away, Jason gives his all-time favorite side characters in sitcom history. He also discusses if NFL players will actually make a big deal out of Olympic flag football, and Molly wants to know what's a bigger deal: the Packers' proposal to ban the tush push or the idea of playoff re-seeing? With the Packers emphasizing competition for starting roles for seemingly every player from Zach Tom to Elgton Jenkins, Jim asks Jason to react to an observation from Robert Mays of The Athletic, who thinks the Packers might be a little too "theoretical in their thinking" when it comes to roster building.
