  • Commentary - We tell the truth...so what are they afraid of?
    May 20 2025
Kent Harper was the last great journalist in this county. Since he left nearly 20 years ago, I’ve done my best to keep you informed. It’s a difficult job. Too many people believe that radio is dying, that you’ll get everything you need to know on the Internet. But that infrastructure isn’t as sound as you think. Moreover, Social Media remains a cancer to those who put all their faith in it. TikTok or Facebook or X aren’t the answer. It’s local media, your friends and neighbors, who are here for you. Businessmen don’t like reporters who won’t bury a bad story about them, their business, their churches, or their families. It’s a problem we face everyday. This station exists to inform you, but without advertisers, we go away. Goodwill doesn’t pay Mount Wheeler Power. So support our advertisers, and ask those business men not advertising why? What are they afraid of?

  • Joe Hart with developments in the Uprise Fiber Case and $9 million in NDOT money
    May 19 2025
Joe Hart from KRNV TV-4 in Reno joins us to talk about more breaking developments in the Uprise Fiber Case. In short, NDOT put up $9 million in matching funds toward a $27 million dollar USDA project to bring Broadband to rural Lovelock. But as Joe has been following the money...disappeared into Uprise Fiber CEO Stephen Kromer's bank account. After weeks upon weeks of Joe's investigation and sealed lips from almost everyone in Carson City, Attorney General Aaron Ford finally announced charges against Kromer on Friday morning. Shortly afterwards, Kromer turned himself in.

Joe recaps the story, along with breaking news from Interim US Attorney Sigal Chattah on her investigation into the case from the Federal end.

Up until today, Joe Hart has been the only one to stay on top of this story, and except for KRNV (And us), this story has been radio silent across the state!
