  • Episode 254 - Aleister Crowley & The Book of the Beast w/ Richard Kaczynski
    Jun 14 2025

In this episode, I talk with Richard Kaczynski --renowned Crowley biographer, scholar of Western esotericism, and author of Perdurabo: The Life of Aleister Crowley—about his latest work: a fully annotated edition of The Sword of Song: Called by Christians The Book of the Beast.

Originally published by Aleister Crowley in 1904 and long unavailable to the wider public, The Sword of Song captures a formative moment in his journey where satire, mysticism, and radical spiritual thought all converge. As editor of this new edition, Richard draws from Crowley’s preferred texts, unpublished manuscripts, and personal margin notes to present a definitive version of Crowley's book, which was originally published just before his encounter with Aiwass.

We take a deeper look at the timeline of it's publication, and explore how it laid the groundwork for later works like The Book of the Law while reflecting on Crowley’s early life and philosophical journey. Along the way, we also take time to unpack some of the biggest rumors and misconceptions about Crowley himself—while shedding light on the lesser-known sides of the man behind “The Beast.” An incredible episode... • Episode 252 - Synchronicities, Coincidences, and The Psychedelic 60's w/ Dr. Bernard Beitman
    May 31 2025

In this episode, I talk with pioneering psychiatrist Dr. Bernard Beitman to explore his powerful new book Life-Changing Synchronicities: A Doctor’s Journey of Coincidence and Serendipity. Together, we dive into the mysterious territory where chance meets meaning, and where the fabric of reality seems to momentarily rearrange itself to deliver meaningful messages.

Dr. Beitman shares deeply personal stories of uncanny coincidences that shaped his life, from football field premonitions in Delaware to mind-expanding moments in 1960s Haight-Ashbury. We talk about his time in San Francisco during a cultural revolution, how psychedelic experiences opened his perception, and how those early glimpses of connection and mystery evolved into a lifelong exploration of synchronicity.

We also explore the Mandela Effect, and consider whether these might represent a kind of collective synchronicity… or something even stranger. Is reality shifting beneath our feet, or are we catching glimpses of a deeper, interconnected consciousness at work?

Synchronicity, serendipity, purpose, and the invisible threads that shape a life, and more!

    An incredible episode.. Drop in!
