This week’s Mountain Music Happy Hour opens with a jolt of energy from Rock’N’Roll Breakheart, setting the tone for a stacked show full of fresh tracks and raw talent.

🎵 We kicked things off with The Trusted and their powerful anthem “Terrible Fight” before diving into our intro and rolling straight into the moody vibes of The Retrograde with “How Do You Sleep”. Jessie Lark followed with a heartfelt piano version of “Daddy” that truly hit home.

🎤 After Break 1, we stepped into the unique stylings of Garage T. Rashington III and the catchy grooves of Rory Lynch with “Can’t Wait Until The Morning”. Break 2 brought us into the gritty southern sounds of River Bottom Mud Junkies and the soulful tones of Simon Slee’s “Heresay”.

🪩 Break 3 amped things up with JoJo Scott’s fun and funky “DiscoBall”, followed by the nostalgic charm of The Fifty Four Plates and “A Thousand Kisses”.

🔥 The V4V Segment spotlighted Sat Streamers and Booster shoutouts—thanks to all who are keeping the music ecosystem thriving!

🎧 We then journeyed into deeper vibes with Nathan Abbott’s “Into the Light”, the raw pulse of Fable’s “The Whip”, and the rich Americana tones of Jessica Lynne Witty’s “My My My”, paired with the introspective ARREIS track “Vices” after Break 5.

💘 Love was in the air after Break 6 with Joe Martin Music’s “Love Strong” and Texas 121’s “Wasted Time”, delivering heartfelt songwriting and toe-tapping melodies.

☀️ We closed out on a bright note with Oliver Prentice‘s “Sunny Day”, and a final blast from Rock’N’Roll Breakheart on “Midnight Breakheart”, before wrapping it all up with the intense storytelling of The Doerfels and “Bloodshot Lies”.

Thanks for tuning in, streaming, and boosting! Keep supporting the artists you love, and we’ll keep the music flowing.

  • Boosts on the Rocks with Em of Survival Guide
    May 10 2025

This week on Mountain Music Happy Hour, we’re thrilled to welcome Em, the artist behind Survival Guide, for an in-depth conversation and musical journey through the Value 4 Value music scene. We kick things off with a cheeky parody wondering if Dr. Phil might just be a V4V fan himself before rolling into a high-energy opening featuring Rock’N’Roll Breakheart.

Em shares the backstory behind her haunting track Nowhere Anywhere and opens up about what brought her into the Valueverse. Throughout the episode, we dive deep into her thoughts on the difference between the traditional music industry and the Value 4 Value model, her experiences so far, and what makes certain songs and artists stand out to her.

Alongside Em’s insights, we feature an eclectic mix of tracks from talented V4V artists including The Doerfels, Ollie, Two Weeks In Nashville, Rick Black, Ainsley Costello, Patrick Manian, Theo Katzman, Suzanne Santo, Matt the Tall, THEM TEETH, Temples, and Sara Jade.

From Em’s love of ocarina music to her admiration for fellow “singin’ woman” Sara Jade, this episode is packed with great tunes and genuine conversation. We close with a special feature on “wordswordswords” by Survival Guide—Em’s favorite V4V track she’s released into the scene.
