    Two staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. were shot and killed while leaving an event at the Capitol Jewish Museum hosted by the American Jewish Committee. The staffers, who the Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs named as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, were a couple who officials say were soon to be engaged. A suspect has been named, a 30-year-old Chicago native who shouted “Free, Free Palestine” as he was being arrested. We will discussed the tragic incident.

  • Mike Kennealy is Running for Governor

    Mike Kennealy is a former Baker Administration official who served as the former governor’s housing and economic development secretary and now is running as a republican for governor of Massachusetts. Kennealy is not surprised by State Auditor Diana DiZoglio’s report on the audit into the MA emergency shelter system that found “mismanagement” and oversight of spending on food, transportation, and housing costs, saying he warned Gov. Healey’s and her team about the rising demand for state run shelter services back in the Fall of 2022. Kennealy joined us on NightSide to discuss his gubernatorial campaign and the issues he’s running on.

    We’ve seen more and more reports of brazen behavior from coyotes over the last couple of years. We’ve talked about the coyotes in Nahant terrorizing residents and pets and tonight we will discuss the latest example of a coyote attacking a dog in Brookline. Local police are warning residents that coyotes can get bolder as they grow more comfortable in their surroundings. We wanted to talk to residents about your coyote experiences as we discussed preventative measures!

  • Auditor’s Report Looks into MA Emergency Shelter System

    MA State Auditor Diana DiZoglio completed an audit into the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, which oversees the state’s emergency shelter system. The 74-page report came out with findings that include "mismanagement" and "failing to assess" the surging numbers" of migrants, and bungling oversight of spending on food, transportation, and housing costs. In addition to handing out no-bid contracts. State Auditor Diana DiZoglio joned us to discuss her report.

Major Kevin Polito - Corps Officer, Milford Corps Community Center - The Salvation Army, Massachusetts Division joined Dan to discuss.

    Comcast Rise to support 100 small businesses in Greater Boston - will award $3 Million in Grants to Local Small Businesses. Becca Fracassa - Director of Community Impact and the architect of Comcast RISE in Boston explained.

    A new, non-invasive technology using a device called TAMBE to treat a certain type of aortic aneurysm, that previously required major, open-heart surgery. First surgery using the device went successfully and could be a game changer. With Dr. Shivani Kumar - MD, Vascular Surgeon at Tufts Medical Center – surgeon who conducted this first TAMBE procedure.

    Weekend Weather Forecast Looks to Be Rainy For Memorial Day Weekend. AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson checked in.
