In this message from the Down Home series, Pastor Ryan Kimmel explored the depth of just four words from the Lord’s Prayer: “Pray then like this” (Matthew 6:9a). Jesus shows us who to pray to—the Father—while also affirming that prayer can involve all three persons of the Trinity. In Matthew 6:1–8, Jesus tells us not to do good things just to be seen by others, but to do them with a sincere heart. Pastor Ryan reminded us that being a “down-home Christian” means living out God’s will in real, everyday ways—not for praise, but out of love for God. He encouraged us to focus on simple, honest prayer and to make the Lord’s Prayer part of our daily lives. This message set the stage for a summer of slowing down and drawing closer to God.

On May 25, 2025, Pastor Logan Bailey preached from Psalm 5 in a sermon titled "The God of Justice Leads Us." He taught that God is a just God who hates sin and will bring justice, but also offers grace through Jesus, who bore our guilt on the cross. Pastor Logan reminded us that while we long for justice in the world, we must also confront our own sin and live righteously. God's justice and grace are not opposites—they meet at the cross, where we find both forgiveness and a call to follow Him in righteousness.
