    I Belong to Christ | 1 Corinthians 3:18–23
In this message, Pastor Steve Miller unpacks 1 Corinthians 3:18–23 to remind us that when we belong to Christ, it changes how we live, how we think, and how we see the world.
The wisdom of this world may sound convincing, but it’s empty next to the truth of God.
Belonging to Christ redefines your identity and reframes your decisions.
    - Big Idea -
“Knowing I belong to Christ clarifies the way I need to live.”

    Faith That Endures
    📖 James 1:12

What do we do when life gets hard and God feels silent?

This Sunday, we opened to James 1:12 and saw that endurance isn’t just about surviving—it’s about trusting the One who promises the crown of life.

We walked through three truths to remember in trials:
    1. Quitting won’t make me happy
    2. God is always with me
    3. What awaits me is worth it

We looked at the story of Joseph. Of Daniel. Of real endurance.
And we were reminded—God is not done with those who keep walking.

If your heart’s heavy or your faith feels weak—this one’s for you.

    Destroying the Church
    1 Corinthians 3:16–17

God doesn’t dwell in buildings. He dwells in His people.

This message calls us to remember who we are as the Church.
We are God’s temple. His Spirit lives in us.
When we divide or tear each other down, we’re not just causing problems—we’re going against what God has made holy.

Let’s build up what God values.

    Don’t Waste Your Life
    1 Corinthians 3:10–15

What are you building your life on?

In this message, we open God’s Word to see what it means to build our lives on the foundation of Christ. Because one day, everything we’ve done—every choice, every motive—will be tested.

Big Idea: Building my life God’s way keeps me from living a wasted life.

    Christ is our gracious foundation.
And He will test the value of every decision.
Don’t waste your life—build what lasts.

  • Helping Others Grow
    Jun 16 2025

This Sunday, we walked through 1 Corinthians 3:5–9 and saw how Paul reset the perspective of a divided church.

The issue wasn’t who planted or who watered—it was that they were missing the point.
God alone gives the growth. But He chooses to use us in the process.

We don’t grow people—but we are responsible to serve them.
    To plant the seed.
    To water with truth.
To trust God with the results.

Big Idea: God involves us in His process of developing spiritual maturity in others.

So serve faithfully. Stay humble. And remember: it’s not about you—it’s about Him.

  • Immature Christians
    Jun 9 2025

    Immature Christians
This Sunday, we opened 1 Corinthians 3:1–4 and saw Paul confront the church—not because they didn’t believe, but because they hadn’t grown.

They were saved but still worldly—living in jealousy, division, and giving their allegiance to people instead of Christ.

Big Idea: The conduct of immature Christians damages the unity within the church.

Spiritual growth isn’t automatic. It happens when we respond to God’s Word, let the Spirit mature us, and live in a way that builds up the body of Christ.

Let’s be the kind of people who don’t stall in our faith—but grow to reflect Jesus in every part of life.

  • Thinking Like Christ
    Jun 2 2025

    Thinking Like Jesus
This Sunday, we continued in 1 Corinthians 2:14–16 and were reminded that the natural person can’t understand the things of God—they’re spiritually discerned.

But through the Spirit, God gives us more than understanding—He gives us the ability to think like Jesus. His Spirit reshapes how we see the world, how we respond, and how we live.

Big Idea: God’s Spirit gives me the ability to think the right way about everything.

Let’s keep growing into the kind of people who don’t just know truth—but live it.

  • Gospel Wisdom
    May 29 2025

    Gospel Wisdom
This Sunday, we opened 1 Corinthians 2:6–13 and were reminded: true wisdom doesn’t come from this world—it comes from God.

The gospel reveals a hidden wisdom that the world can’t grasp. It’s not about clever speech or human reasoning—but about the Spirit revealing what only God can show.

Big Idea: Mature disciples understand that true wisdom is found in the gospel.

Let’s be a church marked by spiritual depth, not surface-level answers. Let’s grow in the kind of wisdom that only comes through the Spirit—wisdom that points us to Christ, forms us in His image, and anchors us in His truth.
