  • Bakery Lane: 'Last roll of the dice' as appeal gets underway
    May 22 2025

The landlord, Mr Naef, has appealed to the Secretary of State against the decision not to approve his planning application for the units on Bakery Lane, which include the Blacksmith's Daughter and the Fez restaurant.

The appeal commenced on 8 May and objections can be made - or withdrawn - up to 12 June.

The owner of the florists, the Blacksmith's Daughter, Christina (her father was a blacksmith in MIdhurst) says it's the last roll of the dice

We have repeatedly asked Mr Naef to comment and we are happy to carry his point of view.

We have asked EHDC for a comment
