Acerca de esta escucha
Regilio's story goes far beyond his career as a professional boxer.
Born in Suriname (a former Dutch colony), he emigrated to Holland as a young boy, becoming part of that golden generation of Dutch athletes with Surinamese blood.
To name a few: Edgar Davids Patrick Kluivert & Clarence Seedorf.
It wasn't easy for him to become a professional boxer, but when he decided to do it, nothing and no one stopped him 🥊.
The 1988 Olympics in Seoul, and the great victory against Kelcie Banks (the favorite to win the gold medal) opened the doors to the big lights of the Madison Square Garden, the rest is history.
In addition to the great trophies on the showcase, Regi is a great man. Always with a smile on his face, and a contagious enthusiasm for everything he does.
Grateful for life, for family, friends....it was an instant click with Yarim Delpino to say yes to the Original Empire project.
