    We go after some concrete examples of first steps to improve health. Nutrition seems to be the biggest lever in making dramatic change.

    • Nearly every "nutrition fact" that was drilled into our heads as kids was the product of politicians, lobbyists and corporate propaganda.
      • The "Food Pyramid" was highly influenced by industry groups like the National Association of Wheat Growers, the Corn Refiners Association, and the American Bakers Association
        • 7 servings of grains is a guaranteed path to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes
        • Fats are essential for hormone production, brain function and energy yet are nearly eliminated by the "American Standard Diet"
        • Eggs and meat have been wrongly maligned for decades but are now considered a mainstay for healthy living.
      • Basically you will live longer by doing the opposite of what you were told by the "experts"!
    • Evaluate food from the perspective of "vitality"
      • The less processing steps the better. (Lettuce from the garden vs Twinkies!)
      • The less artificial chemicals the better. (Roundup, pesticides, antibiotics, preservatives...)
      • US allows 10,000 "Generally Recognized As Safe" additives vs 400 allowed in Europe
    • Keto is no longer a "diet fad" but an effective treatment of everything from diabetes to cancer to Alzheimer's
