She won a first-place National Headliner Award for a series on suicide and was the first winner of the American Association of Suicidology’s Public Service Journalism Award. She is the author of book, To Those Who Have Confused You to Be a Person: Words as Violence and Stories of Women’s Resistance Online. She believes we should talk openly to help others rise above this psychological and physical impact it can have on others.
