The Energy Information Administration forecasts that crude oil production in the Permian region will increase by 430,000 barrels per day from 2023 to 6.3 million barrels per day in 2024 and 6.6 million barrels per day in 2025. That's thanks to improvements in drilling productivity and the implementation of more advanced drilling and completion techniques.
