Welcome to this week's episode of the podcast, where I'll be diving into the topic of "Running YOUR Race" with an emphasis on the word YOUR.
In Hebrews 12:1, we are reminded to persevere in running the race that is set before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus. This verse highlights the importance of focusing on our own journey and not getting caught up in comparison or competition with others.
As Christians, we are all called to be a part of the Kingdom agenda - spreading the gospel, serving God, and being a part of the body of Christ. However, each one of us has been uniquely designed by God with our own specific assignments and races to run.
It's easy to get lost in this fast-paced world and feel like we are not doing enough or measuring up to certain standards. But God has a specific path for each of us, and it's important that we embrace our calling and trust Him to guide us every step of the way.
🤯 In today's episode, I'll be sharing a personal story that I believe will resonate with many of you. It's about a time when I felt pressured to run a race with someone that God didn't approve of!! 😭
Important Pointers:
- First, running your race means staying focused on the path that God has set before you. This may mean saying no to certain opportunities, collaborations, or distractions that come your way in order to stay true to your calling.
- Secondly, running your race also means embracing your uniqueness and not trying to be like anyone else. We are all fearfully and wonderfully made by God with our own set of strengths, weaknesses, and passions. When we try to conform to someone else's path or standards, we are disregarding the purpose for which God has created us.
- Lastly, running your race requires faith and trust in God's plan for your life. It may not always be easy or comfortable, but when we surrender our plans and desires to Him, He will guide us towards His perfect plan for our lives.
Thank you for tuning in to this week's episode. I hope it has encouraged and inspired you to run your race with perseverance and faith. Stay tuned for more episodes coming soon, and remember to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus every step of the way.
