    One of my absolute favorite comments on a now-viral wedding video reads: "God is such a girl dad!"

    Let me introduce you to Kayla and Micah Anderson. Their simple but heartfelt prayer for their wedding day was this: "Jesus, be glorified." And wow—did He ever show up in a well-timed moment!

    Enter Lori: my coworker here at CRISTA Ministries. Like any mom-of-the-bride, she had a dream for her daughter's big day. So when the power suddenly cut out while the bridal party was getting glammed up, her first thought was hilariously practical: "Too many curling irons, probably."

    But soon it became clear: it wasn't just the bridal suite. The power was out for the entire venue. Oh, and the whole town.

    Cue the panic? Not for this family. Their church community was ready to go. Generators, supplies, tell us what you need! But first? Prayer. Cue the divine setup.

    What happens next is a moment that’s touching hearts across the country and the globe. We got to sit down with Lori for the full backstory behind the viral video that’s lighting up everyone’s feed (pun very much intended).

    Her firsthand account makes this moment all the more powerful—and real. I’ll be honest: if I’d stumbled across the clip without knowing this family personally, I might have had a few doubts. In our age of AI-generated content, clickbait, and oh-so-conveniently staged “viral” videos, I’ve got a built-in skepticism meter. I mean, who’s to say someone didn’t just flip a switch at the perfect moment?

    But here’s the truth: this one’s 100% legit. A real moment, covered in prayer, and illuminated (literally) by divine timing.

    What I love most about this story isn’t just the goosebumps moment when the lights came back on. It’s everything it represents:
    Prayer. Community. Love. Unity.
    And of course, that little extra sprinkle of God’s humor and perfect timing—like icing on the (wedding) cake.

    I can almost feel Gods smile. “Let there be light?” That’s what I do.

Our church is doing a summer BBQ and want to get a bouncy castle for the kids!
