Surf's up, beach lovers! We're diving into today's coastal conditions along Southern California's stunning shoreline.

Orange County is looking at a moderate rip current risk with waves rolling in at 2 to 4 feet. Water temperatures are sitting pretty between 60 and 66 degrees - perfect for adventurous swimmers and surfers. The swell is coming in from 240 degrees today, shifting to a mixed direction tomorrow with swells hitting from 250 and 200 degrees.

Tidal action at Newport Beach will feature some interesting fluctuations. We're looking at a morning low tide around negative 0.5 feet, climbing to a solid 3.2 feet by midday, then dipping again to 2.0 feet in the afternoon before a substantial evening high of 5.6 feet.

Down in San Diego County, things are heating up with a high rip current risk today. Surf heights are beefier at 3 to 5 feet, with water temperatures ranging from 58 to 64 degrees. The swell is charging in from 270 degrees today, shifting to 280 degrees tomorrow.

La Jolla's tides will mirror similar patterns to Newport Beach, with low and high tides creating dynamic ocean conditions throughout the day.

No thunderstorms are expected, so grab your board, check your safety gear, and enjoy some epic coastal adventures. Remember - moderate to high rip current risks mean stay alert, know your limits, and surf smart!

Catch you on the waves!
