Overtime Chevening Alumni reach a position of influence that enables them to bring about systemic change and deliver real impact.     Vignesh likes to call himself a student for life—an ardent learner constantly driven by the quest to discover something new. With over a decade of experience in the social impact space, he has worn many hats: from being an elementary teacher and trainer to leading strategy and operations at Teach For India between 2011 and 2018.

    In 2018-19, he pursued a Masters in Effective Learning and Teaching from the Institute of Education at University College London, on the Chevening Scholarship.

    In his current role as Global Expansion Director at Christel House International, he works toward expanding the school network to reach a wider set of children in newer geographies. Vignesh is passionate about storytelling and has a natural flair for mentoring and coaching young people!

  • Life cycle analysis, localisation, and dealing with imposter syndrome; Tanyamai Anantakoraneewat

    Tanyamai Anantakoraneewat is a Thai advocate for the circular economy, with a diverse background in economics, media, and social enterprise. She is currently a Cross Cultural Programme fellow in Germany, working with CIRCULAZE, a network and knowledge hub for circular economy pioneers. Tanyamai was a 2021/2022 Chevening Scholar, earning her MSc in Local Economic Development from the LSE. Upon her return to Thailand, she became a sustainability journalist, using her radio and online programs to introduce the circular economy concept nationwide. She also works as a part-time circular business design trainer at CIRCO Hub Thailand, under the UN Global Compact Network Thailand, helping local corporations apply Life Cycle Analysis and design strategies to develop circular solutions.

  • Strengthening public health governance & nurturing next generation of development practitoners; Czarinnah (Ching) Araneta, Philippines 🇵🇭

    Czarinnah (Ching) Araneta has extensive work experience in Professional Learning and Development, particularly in identifying and designing appropriate learning measures for Local Chief Executives, such as mayors, governors and public health practitioners, and in planning and managing training interventions to improve health governance and local health systems development. Her expertise also includes program and project management, from conceptualization to design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, of community health programs such as adolescent sexual and Reproductive Health and Maternal and Child health programs. Czarinnah is also a Professional Fellow (Civic Engagement theme) of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) - the U.S. government’s signature program for young leaders in Southeast Asia. In 2019, she served as the Country Lead of the YSEALI Women Leadership Academy Alumni Network in the Philippines. Czarinnah completed her master’s degree in MA Education, Health Promotion, and International Development at the University College London under the Chevening Scholarship program of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office. She is currently a faculty member of the Division of Social Sciences at the University of the Philippines Visayas.
