    John has extensive experience in both the Military and Civilian realms. He has 35 years in Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard service and 22 straight months in Iraq and Kuwait. While deployed to OIF I and II, he served in various positions on the staffs of Lt Generals David McKiernan, Rick Sanchez, GEN George Casey, Under Secretary of the Navy (Admiral) Greg Slavonic, and Major General Erv Lessel. His assignments included handling media during Saddam Hussein’s arraignment, numerous press conferences, and serving as the Intelligence Liaison to the Interim Iraqi Government under MG Barb Fast. He developed U.S. media strategy for addressing anti-coalition press and propaganda in Arab media during the battles of An Najaf and Fallujah, as well as many other special assignments in Baghdad.

    PASSION : We know that Kentucky bourbon has a devoted following and that the second amendment has a large and diverse group of supporters, so we combined the two to create 2A Bourbon (Second Amendment Bourbon).

    PURPOSE : Our desire is to help organizations that support our military, first responders, and organizations that fight for our freedoms. We are giving proceeds from the sales of every bottle to Folds of Honor and 2nd Amendment Foundation and we will be adding more. We are also supporting Ruck Walks and events across the country to support suicide prevention in the military and other causes that offer help for our military, and first responder’s families.

  • Lima Charlie Episode 12, with Mitchell Taco Bell

    Lieutenant Colonel (ret) Mitchell “Taco” Bell joined the Marine Corps in 1986 and was winged a Naval Aviator in January of 1991. He flew the KC-130 in Cherry Point, NC, Okinawa Japan and Fort Worth TX in the Reserves. His primary duty has been Recruiting for nine of his 29 years in the Marine Corps.

    In 1998, he left active duty, was hired by American Airlines, and currently flies the Boeing 787 around the world. As a reservist, he ran an old Mig Base in TQ Iraq from 2005 to 2006 and worked with the Afghan Police for 8 months in 2008 and again for a short tour in 2009 with Prison Corrections over in Afghanistan.

    Taco currently assists with numerous charities and Veterans organizations in the DFW area. He directs the Purple Hearts Reunited Valor Guard, a return team dedicated to delivering lost medals of valor across the country. In addition, Taco has conducted return ceremonies himself, on behalf of Purple Hearts Reunited (PHR). He has been on the show before talking about PHR before and the great things that organization does.

    “Bobby V” originally enlisted in the Army as an Airborne Ranger in January of 1988. After completing Infantry Basic Training and the Ranger Indoctrination Program he was assigned to the 1st Ranger BN Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia. As a Ranger, he participated in combat operations in support of Operation Just Cause, Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In 1994 he was reassigned as a Ranger Instructor at the 6th Ranger Training Battalion in Camp Rudder Florida.He was accepted into the Warrant Officer Program in 1997. He attended Initial Entry Rotary Wing Training, Warrant Officer Basic Course and UH-60 Black Hawk transition. After completing the UH-60 aircraft qualification at Fort Rucker he participated in combat operations in support of Operation Task Force Hawk deploying to Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo.
    In 2001 after a successful assessment and selection he was assigned to A Co. (Shadows) 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. Upon arrival to the 160th he attended the Special Operations Training Course, Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape Level-C Course. He received his Fully Mission Qualification in 2002 and Tracked Maintenance Test Pilot in 2005. In 2007 he was assigned to D Co. (Raiders) 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia as a Fully Mission Qualified Pilot and Maintenance Test Pilot. From 2008 through 2015 he was assigned to multiple companies in 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia as a Fully Mission Qualified Pilot and Maintenance Test Pilot – Maintenance Examiner, the Battalion Liaison Officer to Special Operations Command Southern Command, Maintenance Test Pilot – Maintenance Examiner. In 2015 he was assigned to D Co. AVUM-AVIM (Dark wing) 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia as the Senior Fully Mission Qualified Pilot and Maintenance Test Pilot – Maintenance Examiner. He has made numerous deployments with D Co. (Raiders), C Co. (Shadows) and D Co. (Darkwing) in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, NEW DAWN and INHERENT RESOLVE totaling over 860 days deployed to combat logging 1100 hrs of combat/ imminent danger.Chief Warrant Officer Five Villarreal military schools include the Individual Infantry Training course, Airborne Course, Ranger Indoctrination Program, Ranger Course, Jungle Warfare Training Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, French Foreign Legion Guyane Commando Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Warrant Officer Candidate School, Army Aviation Branch Qualification Course, OH-58A Recon Air Interdiction Course, UH-60 Aircraft Qualification Course, Special Operations Training Course, Survival Evasion Resistance Escape Level-C Course, Aviation Maintenance Manger Course, Maintenance Test Pilot Course / Examiner, Warrant Officer Advanced Course, Warrant Officer Intermediate Level Education Course, SIX Sigma Green Belt Certification Course, Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Course, FAA Airline Transport Pilot (Helicopter) & Unmanned Aircraft System Remote Pilot .     Les Rubin is a professional accountant/entrepreneur/ real estate developer with a clear understanding of what makes economic systems work and the power of incentives. While not a professional economist, he has studied it for over 40 years and been heavily involved with economic education locally, working with the school system, writing articles, and commissioning sculptures on economic themes for his real estate developments. Rubin's passion for economics and economic education inspired him to create MainStreetEconomics.org - a non-profit organization to provide for average people on “main street” the opportunity to learn about economic systems without going back to school. Les graduated from UNC at Chapel Hill in accounting and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma honorary societies. For 10 years he was a practicing CPA/controller and for 45 years the owner/head of his own commercial real estate development company.

    Decorated Green Beret who Retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW3) from a Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha (SFODA). He served 17 years in the U.S. Military; of that time three years were spent serving as an infantryman. Then he attended the United States Army Special Forces Qualification Course becoming a fully qualified Special Forces Weapons Expert. He served as a weapons sergeant and Intelligence Sergeant for a Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha (SFODA) specializing in Direct Action for four years before becoming a Special Forces Warrant Officer. He continued his service as the Executive Officer of an assault and hostage rescue team in the U.S. Southern Command’s Commander in Chief’s Inextremist Force (CCIF). His capabilities expanded, as he became the Detachment Commander of a specialized selected team that performed security surveys and assessments of diplomatic facilities abroad for the United States in the Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Integrated Survey Program (ISP). He also commanded and assisted in the creation of the SOUTHCOM Advanced Force Operations (AFO) team. As part of the United States Army Special Warfare Center and School he assisted in developing, writing, and publishing numerous Special Forces Manual and Training Circulars.
