  • Bayer Leverkusen REJECT Liverpool Bid For Florian Wirtz, Benjamin Šeško to Arsenal? | Signed and Sealed
    Jun 2 2025

    🔁 Transfer Rumour Roundup 06/02/2025:

Liverpool’s efforts to land Florian Wirtz have been dealt an early setback, as Bayer Leverkusen swiftly rejected the Reds’ opening bid for their midfield star. With the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid now officially confirmed, Liverpool find themselves in the midst of a significant squad transition. The club is expected to return with an improved offer for Wirtz, but Leverkusen remain reluctant to sell unless an exceptional bid arrives. As things stand, Liverpool are prioritizing Florian Wirtz, with the deal expected to be done in the coming days.

At Arsenal, the focus is firmly on upgrading the front line. Benjamin Šeško has emerged as the Gunners’ top target as they look to add a dynamic presence up front. The RB Leipzig striker has impressed with his blend of pace and power, and Mikel Arteta sees him as an ideal complement to Arsenal’s young attacking core. Talks are progressing, but competition for Šeško’s signature remains high across Europe.

Manchester United are already making major headlines under new manager Rúben Amorim. Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha is poised to join the Red Devils after the international break, bringing versatility and flair to United’s front line. In a surprise development, Aleksandar Mitrović is also being linked with a move to Old Trafford. The former Fulham striker could offer a more physical, traditional No. 9 presence—something United sorely lacked last season.

Meanwhile, club captain Bruno Fernandes is the subject of a massive £100M bid from Saudi giants Al-Hilal. Sources suggest the Portuguese midfielder is considering the move, which would mark the end of an era at United and provide Amorim with significant funds to rebuild.

Over at Manchester City, Pep Guardiola is targeting Wolves full-back Rayan Aït-Nouri as part of a defensive reshuffle. With Joško Gvardiol adapting slowly to a left-back role and concerns over long-term depth, Aït-Nouri is seen as a priority signing to solidify City's flanks heading into the new campaign. City’s transfer activity has been quiet compared to their rivals, but key reinforcements are expected before the beginning of the Club World Cup.
