Acerca de esta escucha

This is a podcast that not only addresses important matters related to our mental health, but also emphasizes that talking openly about mental health does indeed matter. Each episode, we bring on key advocates and experts working to improve outcomes for children and families both within and outside of The Baker Center. Our guests champion children’s mental health, raising awareness of the challenges our community is facing. We’ll share practical tips for caregivers to help their children have the best possible behavioral and emotional wellness.

In this episode, we tackle the important topic of making sure children with mental health conditions receive the support they need in the classroom. Whether it's providing educational accommodations, or training school personnel to better recognize mental health symptoms when they appear, providing this support is crucial to a child's development.

Featuring guest speakers Andria Amador, Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services at Boston Public Schools, and Tara Harris-Pearson, Principal of The Manville School.
