As a mother of two who sends their children to a public school, I believe teachers deserve better. Teachers do not get paid enough to parent your children in a seven hour day. Teachers are doing a job that will decide what our futures look like as adults. Teachers are trying to teach a classroom full of 20 kids or more five days a week in order to get them to the next grade level.
Imagine having to teach and parent, while defending yourself against students who do not know how to behave themselves... if their parents are not around. Let's face it... Most of these children do not even behave themselves with their parents in the same room. If this Parent Accountability Act is going to help teachers, feel safe and a learning environment let's go ahead and do it. And this episode I'm talking about parents who do not want to parent and it is time for them to understand that the state is fed up.
