    This is the second talk in a series entitled For Such a Time as This and was originally presented in October 1994 at Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
    This recording is a result of our work digitizing over 600 cassette tapes of Elisabeth's talks. Each tape is decades old and the quality of the recordings varies quite a bit from tape to tape. As we preserve Elisabeth's legacy, we will share as much of her work as possible, even when technical issues affect the quality of the audio. Each talk is unique in content and tone. All are a blessing and encouragement.

Through Gods amazing ways, my twin sister and I found Elizabeth Elliot and have never stop listening to her wise God inspired words. This generation needs women like her, Lord help us. The Lord has so used Elisabeth Eliott that my heart is often soothed, strengthened, and challenged to love Him and to do His works by many of her talks, and this is one of them. She is a good storyteller and teacher with incredible insights and ways to direct all hearts to the Cross.

it is a delight to actually listen to one of my favorite authors. Elisabeth Elliott is an excellent speaker with so much wisdom, acquired by walking closely to God during much suffering. These podcasts are gems.

Elisabeth Elliot is a favorite with me. Her guidance and comfort are ageless...can't say that about many authors. even though she is gone I still listen and learn. So grateful her family is making so much available...her simple understand of Scripture, down to earth way of sharing and her commitment to God is needed now more than ever.

Every young person who is serious about following Jesus would benefit from listening to Elisabeth Elliott. This particular message is a concise and compelling summary of her life as a missionary to the Auca people, a remote tribe in Ecuador. After listening to this, I have a deeper desire to follow Jesus with undivided devotion.
