  • A Spotlight on Policing
    May 22 2025
The Trump administration is ending federal oversight of police departments through consent decrees in Minneapolis and Louisville. Those are the locations of the high-profile police killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor five years ago that captured the nation’s attention on the issue. President Trump’s Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon says these consent decrees have been taking policing control away from local communities and turning it over to “un-elected bureaucrats.” Former federal prosecutor Jim Trusty joins the Rundown to discuss police oversight since the summer of 2020 and the battle over the Trump administration’s latest deportation enforcement plans. The unofficial start of the summer travel season is this weekend, but the Federal Aviation Administration predicts that a record number of people will fly on Tuesday. This report comes after prominent travel delays caused by flight issues at Newark Liberty International Airport and the introduction of the REAL ID mandate. Travel expert Lee Abbamonte joins the podcast to share tips on how to prepare for your summer vacation and avoid wasting money. Plus, commentary from the host of the “Kennedy Saves The World” podcast, Kennedy. Photo Credit: AP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • Evening Edition: Fight Against Anti-Semitism Criticized
    May 21 2025
The Heritage Foundation, an influential conservative think tank in D.C., launched a major effort to fight anti-Semitism last year on the first anniversary of the October 7th terror attack on Israel. Heritage dubbed it "Project Esther', named after a hero in Jewish culture, and it has a focus on shining a light on the support network of the terror group Hamas. It has also influenced the Trump Administration's fight against anti-Semitism, like cutting federal funding to certain universities that haven't done enough to curb anti-Semitism on their campuses, but the project is now being called radical by critics. FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Victoria Coates, former deputy national security advisor to President Donald Trump, Victoria Coates is Vice President of the Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at The Heritage Foundation, who says the recent criticisms are political and religious 'hit jobs'. • The President Unveils His "Golden Dome" Plan
    May 21 2025
President Trump on Tuesday announced a new plan to build a Golden Dome missile defense system. Displaying the design from the Oval Office with his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Space Force General Michael Guetlein, Trump asserted the new defense infrastructure--estimated to cost between $25 billion and $75 billion--will be a necessary layer of security for the homeland that he says “hopefully we never have to use.” U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE) has been a longtime advocate for improving America’s missile defenses, on the Rundown she discusses this Golden Dome plan, ongoing diplomacy with Russia and Iran, and her efforts to fight EV mandates. Last Thursday, Walmart announced it would be raising its prices due to the impact of President Trump's tariffs. Americans initially wary of tariffs had cited this concern: that tariffs could bring about price hikes that would eventually hit their wallets. With back-to-school shopping along with the summer holidays and barbecues ahead, some businesses are preparing to adjust. Founder and CEO of Storch Advisors and former CEO of Toys "R" Us, Gerald Storch is a retail industry veteran. He joins the podcast to share the true impact of tariffs on America's retail industry. Plus, commentary from author and presidential historian, Craig Shirley. Photo Credit: AP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

I don’t have time to watch the news anymore. I don’t have enough interest in liberal slanted politics of other radio broadcasts. This program is excellent, a quick summary of what I need and want. Well done!

Fantastic

This is a straight and simple forward for getting my morning news while on the move - it’s clear and straight to the point and a great way of getting the news on what’s happening around the country and world. Highly recommend. Especially for those of the 20-40 age range.

I am searching for comprehensive, educational world news with a little deeper dive and a neutral perspective. It strangely seems as if the presenter is taking an antagonistic approach to conservatives and doesn't sound neutral at all. I haven't decided if I want to continue follow.

Feels a little like I'm listening to MSNBC

Stories are informative, performers are fine but the number of ads that play are ridiculous. I get tired of listening because some of the ads are as long as some of the stories. If I wanted to listen to that I would watch TV.

To many advertisements !
