  • We must never neglect our great salvation
    May 22 2025

Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to

the things we have heard, lest we drift away. 2 For if the word

spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression

and disobedience received a just reward, 3 how shall we escape

if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be

spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard

Him, 4 God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with

various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own

will? 5 For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in

subjection to angels. 6 But one testified in a certain place, saying:

“What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that

You take care of him? 7 You have made him a little lower than the

angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And set him

over the works of Your hands. - (NKJV)

  • The supremacy of the Son
    May 8 2025

Hebrews 1:4 So he became as much superior to the angels

as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. 5 For to

which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today

I have become your Father”? Or again, “I will be his Father,

and he will be my Son”? 6 And again, when God brings his

firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship

him.” 7 In speaking of the angels he says, “He makes his

angels winds, his servants flames of fire.” 8 But about the Son

he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and

righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom. 9 You have

loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your

God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with

    the oil of joy.” -

    The supremacy of the Son

    1. Christ has a name by far superior to the angels

    2. The Son’s eternal relationship with the Father

    3. God’s order: Let all God’s angels worship him

    4. Your throne O God will last forever and ever

    5. You loved righteousness & hated wickedness

Colossians 4:7 Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is

a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. 8 I

am sending him to you for the express purpose that you may know

about our circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts. 9

He is coming with Onesimus, our faithful and dear brother, who is one

of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here. - (NIV84)

Colossians 4:10 My fellow prisoner Aristarchus sends you his

greetings, as does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas. (You have received

instructions about him; if he comes to you, welcome him.) 11 Jesus,

who is called Justus, also sends greetings. These are the only Jews

among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have

    proved a comfort to me.
