• 382. Finally listening to God's plan for me requires significant change
    May 23 2025
I have a confession. I did not listen to God's plan for me.

In 2022, I ignored God's plan for me. I had just published my book and was meditating when I felt the Holy Spirit say, "Create a program for women and their daughters to help them navigate anxiety." I didn't hear this command audibly; I felt it in my spirit. And I thought, okay, that sounds cool, but I won't do it. Despite having written a best-selling book about anxiety, having a doctorate in pharmacy, and being in the throes of raising three kids who have experienced anxiety, I doubted I had the expertise.

Fast-forward to January 2025, and bam! God woke me up and has been peeling back all the layers of my heart and soul like an onion.

Here's where I am today and what it means for the podcast, my business, and you.

God's plan for me is coming to fruition.

Let me start by saying that this has not been easy. It's taken much time, energy, and mental capacity. But here I am, and I feel God leading each step I take. He has shown me a lot, opened my eyes, and awakened me from resistance and disobedience. So, of course, this season has been difficult.

Opportunities I had not been expecting.

In 2024, Molly Claire hired me as a business consultant to help her with SEO, her podcast, and online visibility. I worked with her through two successful launches, and towards the end of the year, she proposed that we continue to work together and that I join her master coach training. No was my initial response. Not because I didn't love working with her, but because I wasn't convinced I needed training to become a coach. After all, I already had a master certification as a Christian life coach that I wasn't using.

After praying about it, I felt God leading me to it. In the back of my mind, I thought, well, maybe I need parenting and trauma training as I expand my book series. It couldn't hurt, anyway. So I agreed and highly recommend her program for any coach who wants to expand on their knowledge of coaching. If you reach out to Molly, tell her I sent you her way.

    But that's not all!

As I learned from Molly and her other instructors, I realized I wanted to learn more about the nervous system and the brain. I knew it would be advantageous to learn more since I hadn't studied this extensively since pharmacy school, and could use what I learned when writing.

  • 381. Ditch the Prosperity Gospel. Trust God's Timing. with Rebecca George
    May 13 2025
    Trusting God’s Timing in a Hurry-Up World

In a culture built on instant gratification and fast results, trusting God’s timing can feel unnatural—even impossible. We’re constantly told to hustle, push harder, and take control of our destinies. But the truth is, when we surrender our timeline and desires to God, it leads to a richer, more fulfilling life.

    Understanding God’s Timing

It’s easy to assume we know what’s best for our lives. We make plans, set goals, and chase what we believe will fulfill us—only to find that our best-laid strategies often fall short. But God’s timing isn’t just different—it’s perfect.

When we root ourselves in biblical truth, we can step back from striving and lean into the promises of a God who is never late. His timing may not align with ours, but it always aligns with His purpose. Trusting God’s timing means believing that He’s orchestrating something far greater than what we can see today.

    Navigating Seasons of Waiting

Waiting can be one of the hardest things we do. Whether it’s waiting on a relationship, a job opportunity, healing, or a sense of purpose, it’s natural to feel doubt, fear, or even frustration. It's crucial to recognize that it's not about denying these feelings but understanding that they are part of a larger, orchestrated plan. When fear and doubt whisper that we’re falling behind, we must remember: trust God’s timing.

Intentional Living in a Fast-Paced World

We live in a world that equates speed with success. But the kingdom of God often moves at a different pace. Jesus was never in a hurry, and yet He fulfilled every part of His mission. We are invited to do the same: to live intentionally, not reactively.

To trust God’s timing, we must actively resist the pressure to keep up with the world’s pace. That means setting boundaries, evaluating what truly matters, and making space for rest, prayer, and spiritual discipline. When we do this, we trade anxiety for peace—and burnout for purpose.

    May 6 2025
The Power of SEO in Business: How to Use SEO to Build Visibility, Trust, and Efficiency

SEO is not just about getting your website to rank on Google—it's about building a brand resume that shows you're a legitimate, trustworthy business. When you use SEO to optimize your business, you create an online presence that appears consistently across search results, helping potential clients see your brand multiple times and in various ways. This builds credibility, familiarity, and trust before they even click.

What Is a Brand Resume—and Why It Matters for SEO

A strong SEO strategy builds what you can think of as a brand resume—a digital footprint that proves you're a legitimate, professional business. When someone Googles your name or company, do they see just a single link? Or do they find your website, blog posts, podcast features, social media profiles, YouTube videos, and forum contributions all pointing to the same brand voice and value?

That kind of visibility across channels creates an impression that you are established and credible. When you use SEO to optimize your business presence across platforms, you tell search engines—and potential clients—that you are not a one-off post or account. You're a brand worth trusting.

You Don't Need to Stretch Yourself Too Thin

You may have been told that every platform needs unique content, which can lead to burnout. The good news is you don't have to create something different for every platform. You can—and should—share the duplicate core content across all channels. Whether it's LinkedIn, Instagram, or your website, it's all about showing up consistently with a message that reflects your brand and value.

This strategy doesn't just save you time—it helps you use SEO to optimize your business content in a way that builds authority and improves rankings.

Reddit, Forums, and the New Word of Mouth

Platforms like Reddit are goldmines for SEO-savvy business owners. Contributing to forums and threads where your target audience hangs out acts like digital word-of-mouth marketing. If you use SEO principles—like targeting keywords even in your replies and linking to helpful resources—you build authority with users and search engines.

  • 379. Do you know the only strategy you need to overcome self-doubt? with Angela "Stikks" Adams
    Apr 29 2025
Overcoming Self-Doubt and Strengthening Self-Belief Through Faith

Many purpose-driven individuals—especially women—struggle with self-doubt. Trusting yourself and stepping into your calling can feel overwhelming without the right mindset and spiritual foundation. However, with faith and intentional practices, overcoming self-doubt becomes not only possible—it becomes transformative.

    Recognize the Root of Self-Doubt

Overcoming self-doubt begins with understanding its root. It often takes hold during challenging seasons—when you’re stuck in survival mode, simply trying to make it through the day. During these times, confidence feels distant, and dreaming big seems out of reach.

Yet even in these moments, you have the power to choose faith. Lean into it. Remember, the Lord has a plan for you—even when your current season feels uncertain. His purpose is unfolding, even in the waiting.

    Embrace Faith as the Foundation

To move forward in your purpose, faith must become your foundation. Trusting in God and believing that He has called and equipped you allows you to walk with courage, not fear. Faith shifts your focus from your limitations to God’s limitless power.

Joshua 1:9 reminds us, “Be strong and courageous...for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” When you embrace this truth, overcoming self-doubt becomes less about striving and more about surrendering to divine strength and guidance.

    Cultivate Self-Belief Through Faith

Another essential step in overcoming self-doubt is rebuilding your self-belief through the lens of faith. Your fears do not define you—you are who God says you are.

  • 378. Adopt these sales strategies for introverts to succeed with IngaFay Cavitt
    Apr 22 2025
Sales Strategies for Introverts: As an introvert, you can excel in sales through building meaningful relationships.

Sales can feel daunting, especially for introverts. With these sales strategies for introverts, you can dominate sales while staying true to your authentic self. Learn to embrace your introverted nature and create meaningful connections to improve sales.

    Understanding the Introvert's Advantage

Introverts recharge by spending time alone; they are more in sync with their inner being. This can be a powerful asset in sales when using sales strategies for introverts. Extrovert coaches offer a different style, and when you can acknowledge and make space for your introverted self, you can use that to your advantage. Rather than being disingenuous and trying to keep your energy up in an extroverted way, focus on building relationships and giving yourself the downtime you need to recharge and stay genuine.

    Create Genuine Connections

The cornerstone of successful sales for introverts is relationship marketing. Instead of approaching sales with a mindset of closing deals at any cost, introverts should focus on building organic and authentic relationships. By creating a space where customers feel valued and understood, sales naturally follow as products or services become solutions to the customers' needs.

    Prepare and Share Your Story

As an introvert, when entering networking events or sales meetings, be prepared with a brief statement that clearly describes who you are, what you do, who you serve, and how you serve them. This preparation boosts confidence and opens the door for meaningful conversations that can lead to collaboration and referral opportunities, which are key components of effective sales strategies for introverts.

Networking on Your Terms: Sales Strategies for Introverts That Respect Your Energy

Introverts may shy away from large gatherings, but that doesn't mean you should avoid networking altogether. Instead, set clear intentions about what you want to achieve from each interaction, whether it's new clients or collaboration partners. Plan to take small breaks, like a quick trip to the bathroom, to recharge during events and give yourself grace. Stay true to yourself, and don't try to network like someone else.

  • 377. Do you really need a huge social media following to become a published author? with Allie Marie Smith
    Apr 15 2025
Embracing Success Beyond Social Media: A Faith-Focused Journey to Becoming a Published Author

With so much focus on social media, it can be hard for anyone striving to become a published author not to feel the pressure to build a massive following. One might think it's necessary to be seen as successful. However, true success comes from following God's plan and staying rooted in your values. Becoming a published author doesn't have to revolve around likes, followers, or algorithms.

Redefining Success to Become a Published Author

It's easy to look at people who have achieved literary success and focus on where they are now—published, celebrated, and recognized. But what you don't often see is the long, unseen journey it took for them to become a published author. That journey looks different for everyone, beginning with defining success on your terms - not the world's terms.

You can view success through three lenses: ours, God's, and the world's. Are you writing simply for personal ambition? Are you chasing worldly approval—fame, money, social media validation? Or are you seeking to become a published author in alignment with God's unique plan for your life?

The world often tells us success means going viral, having a curated life online, or selling millions of copies. But God's definition of success is grounded in faithfulness, obedience, and impact—sometimes unseen but always meaningful.

    Apr 8 2025
Navigating Anxiety Caused by Social Media: Finding Faith and Resilience

Social media can be considered both a blessing and a curse. For many people, especially the younger generation, anxiety caused by social media has become a growing issue. To figure out how to find balance in interacting with social media, you need to turn to your faith.

The Impact of Social Media on Mental Health

Though designed to connect us, social media often does the opposite. The constant comparison to others' highlight reels can easily lead to anxiety and feelings of inadequacy. When you scroll through endless feeds, turning off your brain, you absorb content without truly processing it. In this state, you're not filtering what is true and what is false. Without mindful engagement, social media can become a source of stress rather than a tool for connection.

Faith as a Source of Strength

Leaning into your faith can be so helpful in combating anxiety caused by social media. Reading scripture and immersing ourselves in God's word provides true comfort. Scripture reminds us that our worth is not defined by likes or followers but by our relationship with God.

Strategies to Limit Anxiety Caused by Social Media

For those who want to engage more responsibly with social media, follow these strategies:

    • Curate Your Feed: Follow accounts that inspire positivity and align with your values. Unfollow accounts that evoke feelings of inadequacy or negativity.
    • Engage with Faith-Based Content
    • Do Devotions: Start or end the day with a devotional or scripture reading. This practice can help center your thoughts and provide a faith-driven perspective on daily challenges.
    Seeking Professional Help

Faith is a powerful tool, but sometimes, it's necessary to seek additional support. If the anxiety feels overwhelming, reaching out to a mental health professional can provide you with valuable guidance. Therapy, counseling, or even medication may be necessary to restore emotional balance and ensure you're on a healthy path.

  • 375. Strategies to Improve Emotional Confidence and Manage Emotions with Alicia Michelle
    Apr 1 2025
Embracing Emotional Confidence to Manage Emotions

Managing emotions is an essential skill. Whether dealing with fear, anxiety, stress, or the everyday ups and downs, understanding how to navigate your emotions is crucial. Learning to build emotional confidence and manage emotions is essential for mental and emotional well-being.

Your Emotions Manifesting Physically in Your Body

The brain, the mind, body, and spirit are so interwoven. There are physical manifestations of not taking care of yourself that can lead to both acute and chronic illness.

Acknowledge: The First Step to Emotional Confidence

The journey to managing emotions begins with acknowledgment. It involves understanding why you feel a certain way and accepting those feelings. This step is leaning into God’s compassion and recognizing that emotions are a natural response to life’s events. By acknowledging emotions, we create space for self-compassion and begin the process of healing and growth.

    Discern: Separating Fact from Fiction

Once you acknowledge your emotions, the next step towards emotional confidence is to discern. You’re saying it’s true that… but it’s not true that… Ask God for clarity in discerning what is reality and what is not.

Decide: Taking Action Toward Emotional Mastery

The final step is to decide how to proceed. This decision-making process involves determining what action to take once you have clarity. It’s about choosing a path aligned with your values and the truth, rather than being driven by emotional reactivity. This step also includes inviting God’s courage to help you stay on the path He has laid out for you while focusing on your mindset and not returning to fear and anxiety. Having a strong identity in Christ and leaning on Him as you work to build emotional confidence and manage emotions.

Building a Routine for Emotional Resilience

Cultivating emotional confidence is an ongoing practice. It requires patience, regularity, and a willingness to act. You must be willing to take action.

Being in the right mindset to take action

Your body needs to be in the right state to logically process before you can begin the A, D, and D steps. The nervous system has two different phases: the sympathetic and the parasympathetic. When you are in the sympathetic phase, that is, your fight or flight mode, you cannot effectively use your executive functioning or decision-making skills. The Parasympathetic phase is your rest and digest phase, where you want to be to logically process and use the A, D, and D steps.
