We'll give you an alternative guide to the most celebrated golf clubs, probably in the world, so you can see them from the perspective of a visitor playing a once-in-a-lifetime round there, as we head through this quest.

We love golf, and are doing this for the pure joy of experiencing the best golf has to offer on our fair isles. We're sure to meet some kind, fun and interesting people on our travels, and we want to share that journey with you.

    We review our round at the magnificent Gleneagles estate, and we first hit the Queen's course - which has been described as fun, a pitch and putt, and by some, the better of the 2 courses.

    Set in the prestigious Gleneagles estate, and Little Sister to the Gleneagles King's Course, this sort (less than 6000 yds) course has a unique feature in that it has 5 par 3s.
