I've been on the pursuit of education, knowledge & understanding of the beautiful practice of yin since I had a yin/restorative hybrid class assigned to me in March 2024 with no formal training outside of my 200 😅. This ended up being one of the best things to be gifted to me on my yoga teacher journey. I came across this podcast while I was looking for educational resources to delve deeper into my understanding of the philosophical & physical practice of yin. Each episode offers me new perspective, vocabulary & inspiration for how I approach my teaching. I'm making my way through the Evidence based teaching episodes & recently listened to the episode exploring the Gunas.
This week I taught a class & afterwards had a student tell me that the class was FUN! It's literally the best compliment I've gotten from a student. What's more fun than exploring the boundaries of your mind & body; learning how to trust your instincts & accept where you are in any given moment; & develop tools to better cope with discomfort on & off your mat??
