Acerca de esta escucha

Recorded on April 20, 2025, at Belmont, this is the sound of a spring sunrise chorus bursting to life where a marshy meadow meets artesian-fed streams flowing from the wooded hills where scarlet buckeye is in full bloom. Listeners will hear the sharp, banjo-like glunk of a green frog alongside a rich mix of birdsong: Carolina Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, Gray Catbird, Brown-headed Cowbird, White-throated Sparrow, American Crow, Northern Cardinal, Red-eyed and White-eyed Vireos, Carolina Wren, Common Yellowthroat, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, American Goldfinch, Canada Goose, Scarlet and Summer Tanagers, Northern Parula, Acadian Flycatcher, Downy and Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Wood Thrush, Indigo Bunting, and an array of migrating and summer warblers—Kentucky, Tennessee, Swainson’s, Black and White, Hooded and Prothonotary.
