THAT NUMBER… the one you obsess over… the one you’ve decided your body “should” weigh… That number is the thing that distracts you from focusing on HEALTH goals, holds you back from participating more fully and more actively in life AND keeps you half crazy in the head a lot of the time! Listen to this episode and learn if YOU are THAT PERSON who keeps some arbitrary number the thing you focus on in your weight loss journey as opposed to all of the awesome ways your health has improved and all of the things you are able to do as you lose weight!

Most people begin a weight loss journey to improve their health or to ward off possible health conditions, to increase their ability to participate in activities they enjoy, and to increase their odds of living longer to be with the ones they love. However, at some point, a pesky little NUMBER interferes with their health goals and they become focused on a specific number that becomes a goal… Health is not about a number. Listen in and learn more!

I really needed to hear this. Keeping expectations realistic is a thing. I was a fortunate one who was able to lose 100% of my excess weight (155 lb weight loss) but the last bit of it was me, not the surgery. It is hard work.

Great episode
