Acerca de esta escucha
Host, Susan Pinckney screened the 6 episode series The Hair Tales airing on OWN and Hulu (Ep.1 and Ep. 2 are currently available.) The Onyx Collective production executive produced by Oprah, Tracee Ellis Ross and Michaela Angela Davis, 3 hair icons in their own right, uses the metaphor of Black hair to highlight the humanity of Black women in America through common experiences and those unique to each storyteller such as Oprah, Issa Rae, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, Chika, Marsai Martin and Chloe Bailey. There are no episode spoilers, but Susan does share some of the nuggets and takeaways that stuck with her. She also shares who she thinks would benefit from watching this docu-series and it's not just Black women.
