    Powerful Storm Over Northeast U.S.; Fire Weather Concerns In Southern California - A powerful low pressure system will linger across the Northeastern U.S. on Tuesday. Gusty winds will be common from the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley to the Eastern Seaboard, while heavy snow will impact areas of northeast Ohio, western Pennsylvania and southwestern New York. Meanwhile, elevated fire weather threats are expected in southern California from gusty offshore winds and dry conditions.

    Unsettled Weather in the East; Elevated Fire Weather Conditions for Southern California - An area of low pressure moving through the Appalachians will bring moderate to heavy rainfall, strong to severe thunderstorms, and snow for much of the eastern U.S. through Tuesday. In the wake of the system, some areas in the South may see temperatures exceed 20 degrees below average. Elevated to brief critical fire weather conditions are expected in Southwest California through the week.

    Central U.S. Storm; Elevated Fire Weather for Southern California - A storm will bring isolated heavy showers and thunderstorms across the central Plains into the Midwest before strengthening while shifting Northeast Sunday where snow and ice is possible from the Great Lakes into interior New England on the leading edge of the storm. Dry and gusty conditions will bring elevated fire weather concerns over the weekend to southern California.
