Saw another great post from Melanie Korach (@meLanie_korach) and it's all about looking to congratulate others when they do great things. The world needs more people shining the light on when others do good things. Went through something a little scary on Thursday, on my way to the hospital for a scheduled surgery. On our drive there, we heard on the radio about an “active shooter” situation at the hospital. Everything in the area was shut down and there was a very heavy police presence in the area. We were maybe 5 minutes away and we quickly pulled into a nearby shopping center parking lot to figure out what we were going to do. With summer comes a little bit more time to do other things & some of the other things for me is reading. I'm picking up the pace of getting through Simon Sinek's book, "Start With Why". It's reminding me to keep focusing in on my "why" and how it applies to all that I'm doing, especially now with Ch. 2 of my life starting off. What is your why and how does it connect to all that you do in your life? Also remember, we don't get what we want - we get what we work for. Both centered around taking personal responsibility for my choices and actions. Powerful (yet again) start to my day - I was reminded about how important our journeys are in life and how much they intersect with each other. The ups and downs... really powerful lessons with all of them. The events I got to be a part of over the last few days - reminded me about a lot.

Humor sure does help throughout life & if you can laugh at yourself a little bit - that's even better. Also, try and surround yourself with people that can laugh with you too... it helps the journey that we are all on together. :-)

Found some big-time truths here, that once again, I needed reminding on.
