Found a powerful connection to a podcast from Ben Newman. His podcast called “The Burn” had a guest Mathiew Wilson and they shared some so many amazing lessons that we all can learn from. Inky Johnson (@inkyjohnson) seems like he’s always been helping others with his life story, his examples, his reflections, etc., and Mac Stephens (@MacStephens) is frequently helping to get Inky’s lessons out for others to see and reflect on. Had a busy day yesterday where I went to a funeral for the mom of a longtime friend of mine. We have been friends for roughly 53 years and her mom was in her early 90’s when she passed away. The church was crowded of course with the impact her mom made on so many people. I also got to spend some time with my parents before the service at their house and then also at the church, because they knew my friend’s mom too. Found another great reminder for me to share with you - this one coming from Emily Paschall (@EmilyAPaschall) and she brings us a great quote from Todd Whitaker. The quote is “I don’t know if being positive solves problems, but I do know being negative doesn’t.” The problem is there - no matter what we think. To get through it or to solve it, it does make a difference not to have a negative attitude for sure. Found a great post that actually looked like an old newspaper article. It came from liminal (@Liminal1988) and it reminds us to “Focus on making progress, not perfection.” It helps us to see the importance of having patience in our lives - which seems hard to do just about every day.
