The relationship duo between borderlines and narcissists tends to be more common than we think. There is another form of PTSD that's related to being exposed to repetitive trauma. It is called Complex PTSD, coined by a woman named Judith Herman.

Silent treatment is one of the most devastating acts from a narcissist when his or her lover is falling in love with them. The narcissist uses this tactic to create a conflict of "supply and demand". The narcissist love bombs and supplies his lovers for a time period until he has no more to give or until he gets bored with his partner. Then he pushes the partner away and returns to fulfill his own desires while the partner is away.
