Der Wasserdrache hat Evie die Meerjungfrauen-Kräfte genommen und Ondina gibt Weilan die Schuld daran. Verzweifelt überlegt Weilan, ob sie nicht besser ...

Kurz vor der Vollmondnacht erfahren Mimmi und Ondina, dass sie auf die jungen Meerjungfrauen aufpassen sollen, während der Schwarm den Kampf mit dem Drachen aufnehmen will. Die beiden erscheinen trotzdem vor der Insel Mako und warten mit den anderen Meerjungfrauen auf die Ankunft des Drachen. Weilan dagegen hat einen eigenen Plan.

Weilan erzählt von einer Technik, mit der man Kräfte eines Gegners auf diesen zurücklenken kann. Zac ist begeistert. Mit dieser Fähigkeit könnte man den gefährlichen Wasserdrachen besiegen. Er überredet Weilan, ihm diese Technik heimlich beizubringen. Doch Evie bekommt Wind davon und glaubt, es wäre mehr zwischen Weilan und Zac.

Mimmi muss Karl im Meerespark helfen und hat alle Mühe, ihr Geheimnis vor ihm zu verbergen. Und Ondina und Weilan hängen nach missglückten Mondring-Übungen von Evie buchstäblich in der Luft. Ondina und Weilan erkennen, dass sie ihre Unstimmigkeiten überwinden müssen, um das Problem gemeinsam zu lösen.

Zac hat seinen Test in Biologie verhauen und überredet Weilan, einen geheimen Zaubertrick anzuwenden. Damit kann sie ihre guten Biologiekenntnisse in sein Gedächtnis übertragen. Leider funktioniert der Trick nicht so wie geplant und es kommt zu merkwürdigen Veränderungen bei Zac und Weilan. Erst sind nur ihre Frisuren vertauscht, doch die Transformation geht weiter.
