Peter Rabbit has a great deal of curiosity and loves to hear stories. Then, after Unc' Billy Possum sees the same thing, others begin to wonder what this strange thing is. Peter eventually learns the truth of what scared him and together with his friends, they start scaring Green Forest predators such as Reddy Fox, Granny Fox, and Ole Man Coyote. But, what is it that is scaring them up on Prickly Porky's hill?

In The Adventures of 'Unc Billy Possum, 'Unc Billy is a new arrival in the Green Forest. He finds he is lonesome in his new home. His almost uncontrollable urge for fresh eggs gets him in trouble with Farmer Brown's boy, and he soon discovers that he has good friends in the Green Forest.

Old Man Coyote deliberately leads Bowser the Hound far away from Farmer Brown's farm because he is tired of being chased. Bowser gets lost and injures himself during the pursuit. Help for Bowser comes from an unlikely source, which proves that there is some good in everyone. As with all Thornton W. Burgess stories, young listeners gain positive values while learning a great deal about the animals that share their world. Burgess was a conservationist and author of children's stories. He loved the beauty of nature and its living creatures so much that he wrote about them for 50 years.

Since Grandfather Frog has lived a long time, he is willing to tell stories to Peter and his friends about how some of these things happened (according to Grandfather Frog).

Old Mr. Toad is the main character in this audiobook. He teaches the listener lessons about thinking before talking, downside of self-pride, and how important old friends can be. Old Mr. Toad believes he is very smart and considers it a duty to teach his friends in the Green Forest important facts. There is even a villain in the book, Mr. Blacksnake.

For historical buffs, Signers of the Declaration is a nonfiction work that offers short biographical sketches of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence. A primitive band of humans, the survivors of 40 generations of a crashed space liner, struggle to survive on a planet where giant insects rule, the result of an incomplete seeding experiment because of a lost punch card. Separated from his tribe, young Burl, the main character of the story, begins to think in new ways and eventually leads his people to a better life. The audiobook is particularly interesting in that it has almost no dialogue between the characters, yet is so well written that you don't care.

Their relationship quickly blossoms.

The Boy Scouts of Woodcraft Camp is the first of Thornton Burgess' Boy Scout books. It features Walter, a scout who has never been to camp. Walter and his fellow scouts experience new adventures. They discover and appreciate people of different backgrounds. As with all Thornton Burgess books, the author promotes good moral lessons for the young reader and listener.

Mother West Wind's Animal Friends is the first in the series of Mother West Wind books by Thornton W. Burgess. In this book, we learn about the Merry Little Breezes of Mother West Wind, are introduced to Prickly Porky, and discover that Peter Rabbit tends to get into more trouble than he should. We also get more of Grandfather Frog's "when the world was young" fables. Like all Thornton Burgess books, there are good moral lessons for young readers and listeners. Each story is about five to 10 minutes in length which makes them ideal bedtime stories.
