The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus is a 1902 children's book, written by L. Frank Baum, author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The book is the origin story of Santa Claus and persuasively explains how he began to deliver toys to children, why he arrives via chimney at night, and how he came to travel by a sleigh pulled by reindeer.

The Road to Oz is the fifth Oz book. In this book, Dorothy and Toto are off again on an exciting adventure down the road to Oz. A Munchkin named Bini Aru discovers a way to transform people and objects by speaking the magic word "pyrzqxgl." When Ozma proclaimed that no one was allowed to practice magic in Oz except for Glinda and The Wizard, Bini hid his notes in his laboratory. When his son Kiki finds these notes, he transforms himself into a hawk and sets off on an adventure. Landing in Ev, he runs into Ruggedo, the former Nome King who was exiled and now sees his opportunity for revenge through Kiki's power.

Back in Oz, Princess Ozma is on a mission to demand the release of the royal family of Ev from the evil Nome King. She meets up with Dorothy and the group must band together to solve the riddles of the King and restore order to the land.

Some people do not know that The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was actually the first of a 13-story series. The Marvelous Land of Oz, the second story, brings the Scarecrow and the Tin Man into new adventures in the Land of Oz. In this story, which is as equally entertaining as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the Tin Man and Scarecrow are persuaded to help out a young boy who finds himself in difficulty. There is also flying furniture among the oddities.

In this book, Dorothy and her impoverished Uncle Henry and Aunt Em are on the brink of losing their Kansas farm. Consequently, Ozma invites them all to live in the Emerald City. They then explore the countryside, visiting a series of strange beings including the Cuttenclips, the Fuddles, the Rigmaroles, the Flutterbudgets, and the residents of Utensia, Bunbury and Bunnybury.

Dorothy Gale and her little dog Toto find themselves traveling through mystical places on their way to Oz. Accompanied by a kind stranger and some other characters, Dorothy follows the road through Foxville and realizes they will make it to the Land of Oz in time for Princess Ozma's royal birthday party. Once the band reaches Oz, Dorothy is met with some familiar faces as the celebration begins.

The Tin Woodman tells the tale of how he was once Nick Chopper, a man of flesh and blood, in love with a young girl named Nimmie Amee. The Wicked Witch of the East was not happy about this and so she enchanted his axe and had him cut off his limbs one at a time, which were replaced with limbs made of tin.

The speckled hen laid twelve eggs in her hidden nest at the top of the hay pile in the barn and the very last one, whom she called Humpty Dumpty, was the largest of all. The nest was very crowded and so the eggs began kicking each other to get more space for themselves. Humpty Dumpty, being on the very edge of the next, was kicked completely out and then decided to look about the wide world to see what he could see.

A young munchkin boy named Ojo embarks on a quest to save his grandfather who has been petrified by a magician. On his quest, he is joined by a life-sized patchwork doll named Scraps. Along the way, he encounters Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Man. The seventh in the Oz books series, this novel was adapted into a 1914 silent film of the same name produced by L. Frank Baum’s Oz Film Manufacturing Company.
