The Pickpocket Chronicles consists of the following short stories:

• 1). "Candy From a Baby" (Introduces our three pickpockets plying their trade at the Milwaukee Circus Parade).
• 2). "I Lean and Rob" (Pickpockets move north to Sheboygan to work the Bratwurst Day festival).
• 3). "California or Bust" (Pickpockets move to Hollywood and pick the wrong people to rob).

Neighborhood businesses are being plastered with graffiti - some of it artful and some of it garbage. The police want to hire Elliott to find these spray can artists and offer them a deal of working with the merchants. Elliott is on another case, so Gloria steps up and handles this one with surprising results. The two brothers who are leaving their marks all over the city have been tagged The Marks Brothers by the merchants.

Elliott Cooper's off to Las Vegas for a week-long P.I. convention and he's driving there in his new car. He stops for gas in Barstow and two thugs carjack him and his car. They slug him, dump him in the desert and leave him for dead. This could have been the end for Elliott Cooper had Jane not come along when she did. She takes Elliott back to her house in the middle of nowhere. Elliott had been hit so hard on the head that now he can't remember who he is, what he is and where he belongs.

Most people who've read it think it's a work of fiction from a guy with a fantastic imagination, but actually it's not fiction at all. I tell those people that it's "95% truth with 5% embellishment for humor's sake." This autobiography covers more than 50 years, from the time I was four and was run over by a car and dragged along a Chicago street, to the present day. If there had to be a central theme, it would be the story of growing up in a dysfunctional family with nine children during the 50s and 60s.

The time is 1945, the place is Hollywood. Matt Cooper is still a policeman and owning his own private eye business is still a year off. He and Dan Hollister are investigating a series of murders who's victims were all guilty of the same thing - petty crimes. Of all the stories I've ever written, I like the ending of this one the best.

Matt Cooper - First Cases consists of three short stories.

Jerry Bernard is the sleaziest of all sleazeball car salesmen. And when he gets Elliott Cooper in his grasp, you know one of them is going to get screwed...and it won't be Jerry. Gloria has gone along with Elliott to look at new cars. Elliott's new at these sales negotiations, Jerry is not. In fact, after Jerry financially rapes his customers, he tells his sales manager that he just took a passage from the bible -"I saw a stranger and took him in." He took Elliott in, all right, but payback can be a real bitch.

Cooper Three-Pack consists of the following short stories: "067 - Room For One Less," "068 - The Glowing Corpse," and "069 - All The Write Moves."

Jackie is nine-years-old and seems like a typical kid until you talk to his friend, Stuart. No one else can see or hear Stuart except Jackie. It was Stuart's idea to start that fire and it was Stuart who wet Jackie's bed. It was Stuart who told Jackie to kill those little animals. Jackie looks out his window to see little Timmy playing across the street. He'd better hope Stuart doesn't hurt that little kid.

Two bodies are recovered from a shallow grave in the woods. Two more bodies are discovered under the sand at the beach. Could they be connected by the same killer or killers? This is not your typical Cooper story. That is, the main character in this story, Eddie Heller, crosses paths with Matt Cooper but the story is really about Eddie and his quest to become a cop in Hollywood during the 1930s. It follows Eddie life from birth on, ending up on the streets of Hollywood in the 1950s.

Cooper Moves On consists of the following short stories of revenge.

Cooper Times Six consists of six short stories of revenge. These include: "That's Show Biz:" Cooper is hired by a girl to rescue her boyfriend from drug dealers. "Rock Bottom:" Cooper finds the body of an old man in his dumpster and investigates his heirs. "A Really Good Friend:" Dean asks Elliott to help him hide the body of a prostitute that dies while he was with her. "Tall, Dark, and Dead:" Elliott is mugged. Then the mugger is killed by someone who thinks that they’ve killed Elliott.

Elliott is hired by the FBI to patrol the street on his block during a parade for a visiting congressman. Elliott gets more than he bargained for when someone takes a shot at the congressman from a third story window. But all is not as it seems in this game of cat and mouse.

Matt's story jumps ahead to 1971, where his 21-year-old son, Clay, joins him in the family business. Matt and Clay are off to a rousing start as they are hired by an underworld figure to help him surrender to the authorities, because he's afraid he'll be killed before he gets to say his piece in court. Clay's going to learn the hard way that the job is not as easy as he thought it might be. Murder is never easy.

Matt Cooper - 1947” consists of the following 3 short stories:021 - The Home Sweet Homeless Murders (Homeless people are beingmurdered all over Hollywood and Cooper is looking into it)022 - Guilty As Charged (Lawyer hires Matt to extract his pound ofvengeance after he finds out his freed client was really guilty)023 - All In The Families (Woman hires Matt to find out if her husbandis cheating on her. Technically, he's not. Not really)

Elliott has a chance to ride along with a K-9 unit of his police department. The dog, Daisy, proves invaluable and Elliott can see why the officers get so attached to their animal partners. Daisy is facing retirement at twelve-years-old and his cop handler can't take him home, since his family is allergic to dogs. Elliott agrees to take Daisy home for his son, Matt. However, Matt's terrified of the German Shepherd so Elliott takes Daisy to his office and finds that the dog proves very helpful in his line of work and decides to keep her at the office.

In the last Cooper Story, #86 - The Next Great Adventure, Clay helped get Harry Fleming out of town and saved his life. In this installment, Harry wants to repay Clay and invites him to come to Denver for a week. On the way there, Clay meets a woman on the plane and they become friends. Before the plane reaches Denver, however, it collides with a flock of geese and goes down in the Rocky Mountains. The only survivors are Clay and the woman he met. Now how do they get out of this mess? Or do they?
