Wizard scouts are the deep recon forces of the Intergalactic Empire. When a team of the advanced soldiers are transported to a land where magic reigns without their technology, they must match their wits and skills against an enemy unlike any they've ever faced.

Wizard scouts have a mixture of technology and magic-like abilities. They have long been the defenders of the Intergalactic Empire, but they are fast becoming a dying breed. Now it seems only wizard scout Richard Shepard and his friends stand ready to defend the Empire and their allies in the magic dimension against certain destruction. The forces of darkness have in their possession a key that can open a gate to the demonic plane that will unleash armies of nightmare creatures on unsuspecting civilizations.

Wizard scouts are the elite, deep-recon forces of the Intergalactic Empire. They are a mix of technology and magic-like abilities. Richard has been given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become one of these legendary soldiers. All he has to do is make it through the Wizard Scout Academy. But with a TAC officer who hates his guts, will he even be allowed to graduate. To make matters worse, the Empire has been attacked and soon finds itself in a major war.

Wizard scouts, once the greatest fighting force the galaxy has ever known, face extinction as the Intergalactic Empire's war of attrition with the bat-like Crosioians takes its toll. In a desperate all-or-nothing attempt to snatch victory from defeat, the Empire calls on Wizard Scout Richard Shepard, the last of the legendary wizard scouts, to pave the way for the largest invasion force the Empire has ever assembled. Caught in political crosscurrents that could change the Empire forever, Richard's only allies are his battle computer and the elf high priestess, Jeena.

Richard, a cadet at the Intergalactic Wizard Scout Academy, is on assignment to retrieve a defecting scientist on a planet deep behind enemy lines. In theory, it should be a simple in-and-out mission. But as Richard learned long ago, nothing is ever simple. With a deadly Crosioian scout hot on his trail, Richard soon finds himself stuck with a couple of super-genius children who may hold a secret that could mean the salvation or destruction of three galaxies.

The day of the Great Battle has finally arrived as the forces of light and dark face off in one last desperate attempt that will seal the fate of the three galaxies. As armies of demons, angels, humans, elves, gnomes, dwarves, spirit-animals, and dragons clash, mortals and immortals alike struggle for survival. Armored assault vehicles and soldiers equipped with advanced technology weapons fight shoulder to shoulder alongside magic users and elves wielding swords and spears. Above it all, fleets of space-going dreadnaughts slug it out in the cold vacuum of space for domination.

A black dreadnaught has been raiding star lanes near the outer fringes of the Empire. Is it just another pirate ship? Or is it the key to reviving the wizard scout corps? And what about the discovery of a mysterious anomaly reportedly found by cantankerous asteroid miners? Does it have something to do with the black dreadnaught?

Richard is only in his junior year at the Academy, but it may well be his last. The war with the bat-like Crosioians is straining the resources of the Intergalactic Empire to the breaking point. Every soldier is needed on the front lines to stave off the Empire's destruction. Not to mention politicians are eyeing the Academy as a financial drain that can no longer be justified. To top things off, teams of spell-wielding magic users have been spotted reconnoitering near the Academy.

For countless millenniums, angels and demons have battled unseen for the hearts and souls of the three galaxies. Those days of hidden battles are rapidly coming to a close as Wizard Scout Richard Shepard and the crew of the recon ship Defiant find themselves dead center in the thickest of the fighting. Leading a combined force of UHAAV armored vehicles, ten-meter-tall giants, and human, elf, and dwarf magic users, Richard must take them to a place where even wizard scouts fear to tread: the gates of hell itself.

The message from the past is clear. Two elf friends must die. Giants disappeared from the planet Portalis 16,000 years ago, yet they may well hold the key to saving three galaxies from certain destruction by the massed demon hordes. In a last ditch effort to save all that is good in the universe, Wizard Scout Richard Shepard and his friends are given missions in the past to find the missing keys necessary to stop the demons once and for all. Whether they will be able to succeed depends on their internal fortitude and courage in the face of incredible odds.

Despite stringent security protocols, the tactical computers of some of the Ultra-Heavy Ambulatory Assault Vehicles on the planet have been revolting and killing their crews. Jake’s task is to find out the cause before it spreads to other parts of the Empire.

Seventeen-year-old Tess has been dragged from one town to another ever since her mother died in a plane crash eight years ago. She is convinced special powers contained within the ring her mother passed on to her as the burning plane went down kept her alive while others died. Fiercely independent, Tess is determined to carve out a better life for herself. Desperate to earn a scholarship for college, she finds herself strangely drawn to a local football hero who is her complete opposite.
