It is also a story of how a once young, beautiful and joyful woman transforms into a monster, hungry for revenge; she kills even her own children. A long trail of horrible deaths, tied to her life path, is hard to imagine.

First published in Madrid in 1619 as part of Docena Parte de las Comedias de Lope de Vega Carpio, the play is believed to have been written between 1612 and 1614. The play is based upon an actual historical incident that took place in the village of Fuenteovejuna (now called Fuente Obejuna) in Castile in 1476.

Paradise Lost is an epic poem in blank verse by the 17th-century English poet John Milton (1608–1674). This adaptation is the most faithful to the original French text and reduced to an hour and 30 minutes and for 10 actors. This is the full script from David Serero's off-Broadway production and adaptation of 2018, in which he starred as Cyrano with critical acclaim.
