Ancient Philosophy

The term philosophy means "love of wisdom". In a broad sense, philosophy is an activity people undertake when they seek to understand fundamental truths about themselves, the world, and their relationship to the world and to each other. George Granville Monah James was a Guyanese-American historian and author. His 1954 book Stolen Legacy argues that Greek philosophy and religion originated in ancient Egypt. James contends that Greek philosophy was based on ideas and concepts borrowed from the ancient Egyptians.
