Umiddelbart efter gymnasiet blev Hans la Cour medlem af Tvind og var en aktiv del af organisationen, indtil han 18 år senere brød med den. Han blev på grund af sin store insiderviden hovedvidne, da der blev indledt retssag mod Tvind-skolerne. Hans la Cour skabte sig efterfølgende en strålende karriere inden for tv-branchen og lavede blandt andet rejsedokumentarfilm. I bogen "Den rejsende" fortæller han om sine 18 år hos Tvind. Hans la Cour (1953-2009) var en dansk forfatter, tv-fotograf og -tilrettelægger.
