Democrats love to revise American history because as a Democrat, they are understandably ashamed of their past. Maybe it is time to set the record straight on some things using the actual historical and congressional record. Here is a timeline of the party from its beginning in 1830 until 2020.

From their founding, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) educated as many as 90 percent of Black college students in the United States. Although many are aware of the significance of HBCUs in expanding Black Americans' educational opportunities, much less attention has been paid to the vital role that they have played in expanding American democracy. Free speech as we know it comes less from the First Amendment than from a most unexpected source: Supreme Court justice Oliver Wendell Holmes.
