Civil War Spies

A copperhead is a turncoat, a northerner who sympathises with the South. Captain Nate Starbuck, forced out of his beloved Legion by the enmity of its founder, General Washington Faulconer, becomes caught up in dangerous double game of espionage.

1940: The Spanish Civil War is over, and Madrid lies ruined, while the Germans continue their march through Europe. Britain now stands alone while General Franco considers whether to abandon neutrality and enter the war. Into this uncertain world comes Harry Brett: a traumatised veteran of Dunkirk turned reluctant spy for the British Secret Service.
