English Poetry Anthology

There are many variations of 'love', perhaps that is why, historically, cultures had multiple words that they tried to fold into one. This anthology explores several sides of the complicated world of 'love'. Emotions will be tugged in many directions as you follow these stories, poems, and graphical representations of what 'love' means to different people.

In this short assortment of poetry and prose, I include nine poems, two works of prose, and two Facebook quotes. Everything written here is presented in chronological order from 1992-2013, over the span of more than 20 years of my life. I hope you enjoy, and I thank you for listening!

Most of the stories and poems in this audiobook were compiled from handwritten notes in journals I've been keeping for several years. The title story, "The Waterfall", is a powerful study of loss, acceptance, and growth. In "Butterflies", a young boy learns a lesson about acceptance and appreciation of what he has been given. Freedom 3/15 was written by Julian the day following his release from Fayette County Jail in Georgia. He had been incarcerated 11 months and four days due to family issues while being off his medication for mental illness. Pay Day had written a lot of pieces in jail. However, this is the first collection he wrote when he got out. It all was constructed within one day of his release. Topics vary from speaking about relationship with God and Jesus Christ, to motivational, to being an admirer of big and beautiful women.
