It is 2019. 500 years ago this year, Ulrich Zwingli began to preach verse by verse, chapter by chapter, from the Book of Matthew, at the Großmünster Church in Zürich, Switzerland. The result was a new birth of biblical church worship, preaching, and government, and the origin of the Reformed Churches. This book summarizes events and historical figures the loomed large in the Protestant Reformation from Luther and Melancthon, Zwingli, Calvin, Farel, and Knox. It covers the German and Swiss Reformations distinctly.
